Good morning!
I'm sure you know (as I've said it a LOT) Halloween is my favorite holiday. Each year we have a huge party with our friends and their children. While I was out shopping a few weeks ago I came across these adorable little mini wooden spoons. I thought they would be perfect to use with the many mini deserts that I make for our Halloween party. I only stamped a few of them so far but I think they're cute! I stamped the NUM-NUM sentiment from the Oh, Goodie stamp set in Black Staz-On and then tied a piece of Basic Black Chevron Ribbon on some and the Smoky Slate Chevron on the others.
Have a great weekend!

Awesome...Thanks!
Good morning!
Now that I have my internet kinks fixed- I'm back and ready to share a card with you all! This card features the Flower Shop stamp set and the Pansy punch. OMG- I think I'm in LOVE! This set is so awesome I don't even know where to begin. This is the first card I created using this set. It's a very clean and simple card which didn't require much time at all to create!
The base layer is Pistachio Pudding, the next layer is Midnight Muse, the third layer is Crisp Cantaloupe and the fourth layer is Very Vanilla. I love these colors together! I added a few die cuts from the Deco Label's framelits and 3 punched flowers to finish my card off!
I must admit that the first time I tried to use this set with the coordinating punch- it was a little challenging. It was hard trying to figure out which way the stamp needed to be to coordinate with the punch. Thankfully there were tons of YouTube video's to help out! Now that I have that all sorted out- I have marked my stamps to know which direction they need to be in so that they will punch out easiest.
Thanks for checking in and I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

Treat holders
Good morning!
I have a cute little treat holder to share with you today! These are perfect for a mini candy bar or any other little treat that you can fit in the pocket! My treat holder is for Winter and I chose to put a tube of Lip Balm in it. It's the perfect little gift for the upcoming Winter season!
I made a few other treat holders as well but when I went to fill the little pockets last night- it seems as though someone in my household decided to eat my contents! Those pictures will have to be shared another day!
Would you like to make a treat holder of your own? Here are the instructions:

Monday Montage week #1
Good evening and welcome to Week #1 of Monday Montage Blog Hop! Every other week there will be a new hop featuring the amazing work of the talented Design Team Finalists. We have lots of amazing projects to share with you! Did you just come from Cathy Casey's post? If not- take the hop all the way around to see her beautiful work!
My project for today is a card. I was playing around with the idea of the old fashioned instant photos and this is what I came up with.
The little banner is made of Epic Day Washi Tape. I used the Petite Pennant Builder punch but only punched the very bottom portion of the smallest triangle. For the butterfly- I used the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die and cut out two butterflies. I folded them in half and attached them to the back of the instant photo frame. Pearl Basic Jewels were added to embellish the butterfly and opposite corners of the card.
Thanks for checking in! Be sure to hit the NEXT button to visit Dara Gloden's blog and see what she has created to share with you today!

Happy Heart Day!
Good morning!
Ok- I know it's a little early for a Valentine's Day card but I figured that since I've made cards for the other holidays recently- it was only fair that I also make one for Valentine's Day too.
This card was super simple to create and I LOVE how it came out! I used the Square framelits to create a little photo frame for my DSP/Glimmer Paper hearts. The Happy Heart Day from the Tags 4 You set is perfect for this card!
The striped ribbon is actually the Basic Black Chevron Ribbon only cut in half. I love that it's like 2 ribbons in one! Too much fun!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Love...
Good Morning!
I hope that you are enjoying your Saturday! I know I will be! Summer is officially back in the state of Michigan! After being in the mid 70's for weeks I'm happy to see the return of the 80's. Summer is my favorite time of the year! Everything is alive and so colorful! I'm not ready for it to be over just yet! It's true that I love the Fall holidays. Just not the cooler weather!
Today's card features the Expressions Thinlits Dies. This time I decided to use the negative image instead of the die cut letters. I love using the negative image because it makes a totally different finished look.
Do you like it?

Truly Grateful...
Good Morning!
Yesterday I shared a card that was created in under 10 minutes. Today I have a card to share with you that also took under 10 minutes to make! It's the same basic design as yesterday's card but a few elements have been changed. I used Designer Series Paper instead of Washi Tape and this card is Thanksgiving themed. As you can see from the picture- the DSP was torn and then adhered to the card stock.
Have a great Friday!

DSP: Sweater Weather

The only other difference in this card than yesterday's card is the Burlap ribbon. On the card yesterday- I left one of the finished edges on the ribbon when I cut it in half. Today- I cut both finished edges off and just used the middle portion for my burlap banner. If you choose to create a burlap banner as I have on this card- be careful when cutting off both finished edges. It leaves the ribbon un-finished and it will fray really easily. Try not to handle it too much (unless of course you want the frayed look)!
I love that a very simple design can easily be changed to accommodate any holiday or theme.

Less than 10 minutes to create!
Good morning!
Today I have a card to share with you that takes less than 10 minutes to create! It's cute and super quick and perfect for new stampers or experienced ones as well! All you need is a standard A2 size card base, a piece of card stock that measures 4" x 5 1/4", scrap card stock (to stamp on), coordinating stamp/ punch (or framelit), some ink (or markers), washi tape, ribbon, and some adhesive.
To make my card- I started out with the center piece of washi tape on first and then worked my way to the sides. The Burlap ribbon was cut in half and the ends were trimmed to make a banner. I used Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler markers to add stripes to the sentiment stamp. As you can see- when stamped it has a pretty neat look! The rest is pretty self explanatory.
Thanks for stopping by! Do you have card ideas that are quick and fun? I'd love to hear your ideas!

Glittery goodness!
Good morning!
Welcome back to my usual blog posting routine! Today I have a Halloween card to share with you. I used the polka dot stencil from the Build a Banner kit to create the back ground. Each polka dot was stamped in Versamark ink, then I added some heat and stick powder, heated it up and poured on some Black Glitter. The Circles Collection framelits were used to create the layering circles. Each solid circle is embossed with a different embossing folder. For the sentiment- I used coordinating marker colors and randomly colored the stamp. This is what it looked like when I stamped it! Super cute!
It's hard to see from the picture but the skull is also covered in black glitter. I added some paper curls and a Vintage Faceted Designer Button complete with a Pumpkin Pie bow and Large Rhinestone jewel. LOVE IT!

2103 Artisan Design Team Finalists Blog Hop- Day 10
Welcome to Day 10, the final day of our blog hop. I truly hope that you have enjoyed all the fabulous projects that we have created. It's been a lot of fun to hop around and see what the other finalists have made.
My last project is a scrapbook page of my son Cameron when he was 4 years old (he's now 15). This particular picture is from his very first day of preschool. The week that I made this page I had been playing around with making Shaker cards. To keep with that theme I decided to try and make a shaker scrapbook page! I LOVE how this page turned out. The Storytime DSP was absolutely PERFECT for the preschool theme.
For the most part- this page was easy to create. The addition of the glitter pockets was a little tricky though! I zigzag stitched around the outside edges of the page as well as each individual section on the bottom half of the page. The glitter has plenty of room to move around and truly adds the perfect touch!
If you've ever used the Storytime DSP, you know that it comes with an entire sheet of alphabet letters/pictures. I prefer to call them flash cards. I used the C, A, and M cards to spell out Cameron's nickname in little pennants.
Once again I used the little flash cards to create a book of ABC's and 1,2,3's. To make the book- I took a piece of Lucky Limeade card stock for the cover/back of the book. Inserted the little flash cards and stapled them all together. Then I embellished the cover by cutting out a coordinating shape and adhered it to the front of the book with Glue Dots. Super cute!!!
Page Ingredients:
Card Stock: Pumpkin Pie, Lucky Limeade, Riding Hood Red, Pool Party
DSP: Storytime
Tools: Stampin' Trimmer, Window Sheets, Sticky Strip, SNAIL, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot, Chevron Embossing Folder, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Petite Pennant Builder Punch, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, Brights Collection Buttons, Linen Thread, Gold Stampin Glass
Thank you SO much for hopping around with us these past 10 days! It's been a lot of fun! I hope that you will join us again on Monday, August 26, 2103 for a NEW Blog Hop! It's called the Monday Montage Design Team Finalists Blog Hop!

2013 Artisan Design Team Finalists Blog Hop- Day 9
Good evening!
Welcome to Day 9! This is the second to last day of our blog hop. I saved my 2 favorite scrapbook pages to share with you for these last 2 days.
This scrapbook page features my daughter Amanda when she was 3 yrs old (she's 19 now). This has always been one of my favorite pictures of her. I love it because she's trying to hold her kitty Mufasa (but he was a bit large) and it's just super cute. As you can see from the picture of this page- my actual picture isn't the best quality. It was taken years before digital camera's were available. Just because a picture isn't the best quality, it shouldn't deter you from scrapbooking it anyway! After all- it's the memory you're trying to preserve!
This page is also really special to me because our finished basement flooded two years ago this coming November and I lost pretty much every picture I had from when my kids were little. This picture (and the picture from tomorrow's post) were the only survivors. Thankfully I was able to scan the pictures into the computer before I sent my pages off! I'm thinking I will recreate these pages and put them in frames.
Calypso Coral is the main color for this page. It coordinates perfectly with the Tea for Two DSP (my favorite!). I stamped the Distressed Dots stamp background stamp all over the page and then added a layer of Tea for Two DSP. A series of 12 Tea for Two Pinwheels make the border. The SWEET sentiment is actually embroidered onto a piece of Canvas Creations. Various banners and pennants finish off the page.
I love how it turned out!
Page ingredients:
Card Stock: Calypso Coral, Baja Breeze, Lucky Limeade
DSP: Tea for Two DSP
Stamps: Distressed Dots
Ink: Calypso Coral
Tools: Stampin' Trimmer, Calypso Coral Bakers Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL, Glue Dots, Big Shot, 1/8" Silver Mini Brads, Paper Snips, Pinwheel Sizzlits Die, Chevron Embossing Folder, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Paper Piercing Tool, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, sewing machine, dark brown thread

2013 Artisan Design Team Finalists Blog Hop- Day 8
Good evening!
It's time for Day 8 of our blog hop! The time sure does go by quickly! I hope that you've enjoyed our creations and will continue to visit our blogs even after the hop is over! Did you just come from Cathy Casey's project? If not- don't worry! You can take the hop all the way around until you get to her!
Tonight I'm sharing the last card that I created for the Artisan Design Team contest. For this card I wanted to create something using doilies. Thankfully Stampin' Up! has quite the variety to choose from! I started out by stamping a few doilies from the Delicate Doilies stamp set. Then I used the Big Shot and the Delicate Doilies Sizzlet to create a few embellishments. It's hard to see in the picture but the Island Indigo oval was embossed with the Chevron Embossing folder. The Island Indigo Large Scallop layer was paper pierced to match the scallops. I also used the Color Spritzer tool to add coordinating ink splatter to the front. Overall- I like how it came out!
Card Ingredients:
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Island Indigo
DSP: Tea for Two DSP
Stamps: Oh Hello, Delicate Doilies
Ink: Early Espresso, So Saffron, Island Indigo
Tools: Stampin' Trimmer, Early Espresso Bakers Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL, Glue Dots, Ovals Collection Framelits, Big Shot, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Paper Snips, Delicate Doilies Sizzlits Die, Large Scallop Edgelit, Essentials Paper Piercing Tool, Color Spritzer Tool, Chevron Embossing Folder

2103 Artisan Design Team Finalists Blog Hop- Day 7
Good evening!
Welcome to Day 7 of the Artisan Design Team Finalists Blog Hop. Just 3 more days and our hop will come to an end. Have you been enjoying all the beautiful projects? I have and am already looking forward to day 8!
Today's project that I have to share with you is a "Miss You" card. I'm not sure about you but I just love office supplies and the Epic Day DSP was the perfect choice for those! The card base is Crumb Cake and it has several layers of DSP from the Epic Day DSP. For the bottom layer I chose to use a piece of DSP that resembled lined paper. For the second layer- I used the Inventory DSP sheet. I love how it looks like a ledger! I then hand stitched the outer edges of the Inventory layer using Calypso Coral Bakers Twine. I punched out a Decorative Label from the green and blue polka dot Epic Day paper and added it behind the Inventory layer using some Stampin' Dimensionals. Two of the adorable flag banners were created using the Epic Day Washi Tape. The third banner, a pennant was created using the Petite Pennant Builder Punch. I stamped the Miss you sentiment from the Lacey and Lovely stamp set and cut it out with the Oval Framelits. If you look real close towards the left side- you'll see that I also stamped the words Pencil Me In in Black Staz-On ink. I thought it was an appropriate sentiment to go along with Miss you! The addition of Vintage Faceted Designer Button and Pearl Basic Jewels completed my card!
Card Ingredients:
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
DSP: Epic Day This and That
Stamps: Epic Day Rotary Stamp, Lacey and Lovely
Ink: Black Staz-On, Calypso Coral
Tools: Stampin' Trimmer, Calypso Coral Bakers Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL, Glue Dots, Epic Day Washi Tape, Ovals Collection Framelits, Big Shot, Pearl Basic Jewels, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Paper Snips, Decorative Label Punch, needle
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!

2013 Artisan Design Team Finalist Blog Hop-Day 6
Can you believe that we are already over half way done with our Finalist blog hop? I hope you all have had a great time looking at the wonderful creations. I know I sure have! Lots of inspiration for sure! I hope that you will enjoy the project I'm sharing with you today. It is my second 3-Dimensional project and was by far- the absolute most time consuming project that I have ever worked on. Let's just say that I quit counting the hours after I hit 125. Yes- that's one hundred twenty five hours. There were many times that I was second guessing myself and I can't begin to tell you how many times I had to rip all the fabric out and start again. At first- I was a little worried about sending this piece in. I had been toying around with the idea for weeks and I had already ordered/received my fabric when Stampin' Up! posted a rag rug to their blog. I gasped in horror because I had already planned on creating the rug for one of my 3-Dimensional pieces and how was I supposed to be original when Stampin' Up! just posted the same idea? After mulling it over for a few days- I decided to create a rug with a chevron pattern on the edges and a criss-cross pattern in the middle.
To make this project- I started out by cutting my Beau Chateau fabric in to 1" x 5" strips. This part in itself was extremely time consuming. I had to make sure the fabric was straight and not cut all wonky. Unfortunately- I don't sew so I didn't have any cool time saving tools to help speed this process along. After I had cut all the fabric- a friend told me that I should have borrowed her rotary tool and mat that makes cutting strips of fabric a breeze. Oh well- live and learn!
Here is a picture of some of the fabric strips that I cut. The entire rug took 25 boxes of the Stampin' Up! Beau Chateau Fabric. That's a LOT of fabric!
After I had all the fabric cut I began to create the actual rug. I used a latch hook rug canvas for my rug base. It's not non-slip but the holes were bigger and much easier to hand feed the fabric through. After each individual piece of fabric was fed into the holes in the canvas, they were tied in knots to prevent them from slipping out of the base.
The bottom left of the above picture shows what the fabric looked like once it was put into the rug base. Of course as I said before- I had to tear the fabric out and restart several times. First because I put the wrong color fabric in and then I tore it out again because I messed the pattern up.
Slowly but surely- I was making progress. Or so I thought. When I started this project- I had no clue that it was going to take me over 125 hours to complete. I had planned on making the rug 24" x 36" but it took a lot more fabric than I had anticipated and I ran out of time to get more.
The above picture shows the finished product. It's approximately 18" x 24". It's not overly huge but it's the perfect size for a smaller space- like in front of a sink or in the bathroom. I have been told that it would look great as a wall hanging so it really is multipurpose!
The above picture is a close up to show just how plush the rug is. It's super thick and heavy!
This picture shows what the back of the rug looks like. If you've ever worked with latch hook canvas- you know that it frays really easily. I wanted to finish the edges so that the rug could be used and not fray. The dark brown trim is the bias tape that I used to finish the edges. Just a quick informational bit- each square on the rug has at least 50 pieces of fabric.
I must say that by the time I was done with this rug- I didn't care if I ever saw it again. Yes- it was expensive to create and yes it took me what seemed like forever to complete but I was burned out from working on it! Now that it's gone and I had a chance to see it again at Convention I really miss it! It turned out beautifully and I can only hope that someone is enjoying it!
I must admit though that I was a little disappointed when I saw it at Convention. It was folded up on the shelf and the detail wasn't visible. I was really sad when everyone kept saying it was a pillow because folded up- that's exactly what it looks like but it's not! It's a rug!
The last picture I'm sharing is of the rug and the little cuteness that thought it should be his. He is sad that it's gone! Every time I would try to do more work on it- Jake thought he should be sleeping on it! Silly kitty!
Recipe:
Beau Chateau Fabric
Latch hook rug canvas
Craft and Rubber Scissors
Pencil
Ruler
Bias Tape
Sewing machine (used to adhere the bias tape)

My fifth project is actually the very first card that I created for this contest. I had finally decided to order the Dress Up Framelits and was trying to figure out what to do with them. I opened them up and started playing and this card was the end result. It's not overly fancy but I liked it! I sure do miss the Pop-Up Posies kit and the Artisan Embellishment kit. They were fantastic!

2013 Artisan Design Team Finalist Blog Hop- Day 4
YAY!!! It's time for day 4! Are you as excited as I am? I LOVE going through the hop and looking at everyone's beautiful creations. Those who went to Convention know just how crazy the Display/Artisan boards are! It's hard to actually get a good "up close and personal" look at the samples. Hopefully through this hop you have been able to see just how much work each of us has put into our designs. If you just arrived from Cathy Casey's blog- aren't her creations beautiful? I LOVE them!!

My fourth project is one of the scrapbook pages that I created of my daughter Amanda and her best friend Becca (Amanda is on the left and Becca is on the right) This particular scrapbook page was created on a 12" x 12" piece of Early Espresso card stock. I added a Very Vanilla layer which had been scored in a criss-cross pattern. I then added a strip of Cajun Craze card stock (which had also been scored in a criss-cross pattern) to the center of the page. The larger photo is a 5" x 7" printed in Sepia tones mounted onto a piece of Early Espresso card stock. It's hard to see from the picture but the oval picture is layered onto a larger Early Espresso oval which was embossed using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.
I must apologize for the quality of the pictures. I know it's not really an acceptable excuse but I was down to the very last day that I could send my projects off and I was in a hurry. Unfortunately my pictures really don't do this page justice. It really is absolutely beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by again today! Did you enjoy my scrapbook page? Be sure to continue around the rest of the hop and see what the other finalists have to share! There is a TON of inspiration- you won't be disappointed!
