I always look at the sides to make sure that they are glossy with ink. Then I dip the button into the Pool Party embossing powder and heat it up. After I've heated the first layer of Pool Party embossing powder- I drop the button back into the tub of embossing powder a second time. Tap off the excess and heat again.
