You're the best

Good morning!
Did you all have a lovely weekend?  I know it's been a few days since I have posted.  I wanted to spend some much needed time with my family.  On Saturday my son and I baked giant "M" cookies.  He loves the University of Michigan and would love to go to college there someday.  While I was shopping in Ann Arbor earlier in the week- I had stopped by the M Den and picked up an M cookie cutter.  Unfortunately baking is not really my area of expertise but I did the best I could do and the cookies came out pretty well!  No complaints so I guess that's good!
I finally had some time to work in my stamp room yesterday.  I created a Thank You...You're the Best! card.  This card is actually for a friend  who really is the best!

Card Stock:  Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla
DSP:  I Am Me
Stamps:  Hello Lovely, Gorgeous Grunge
Inks:  Calypso Coral, Pool Party

Winter Frost Wreath

Good morning!
Yesterday when I was doing my usual daily blog hopping, I stopped by Angie Juda's page.  She had created an adorable wreath for Halloween using Designer Series Paper.  I figured I'd try making one of my own! Since I am waiting for more Witches' Brew DSP to arrive in my order, I chose to use Winter Frost Specialty DSP instead.  I think it came out pretty well!  I have actually seen these types of wreaths around for a long time.  I always wanted to make one but figured it would take way too long.  Not the case!  It ended up taking me right around an hour to create.
Ingredients:
DSP:  Winter Frost
Stamps:  Festive Flurry
Ink:  Versamark
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Bone Folder, Linen Thread, Smoky Slate Chevron Ribbon, Heat Tool, Heat and Stick Powder, Silver Stampin' Glitter, Big Shot, Festive Flurry Framelits, Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit, hot glue gun/glue sticks, straight pins, 12" foam wreath

Trick or Treat?

Good morning!
Thankfully it's almost Friday!  It's been a hectic week!  Yesterday I was making Halloween cards like crazy!  I'm not sure why but I've had a ton of ideas flowing in my head these past few days.  The card I created to share with you is just one of the many ideas!
I love using the Witches' Brew Washi Tape to make a banner.  Simply cut a piece of Linen Thread or Baker's Twine to create the line for your banner and then fold the washi tape onto itself and cut into a pennant shape.  It's as simple as that!  I added a few of the Gorgeous Grunge stamped images as well.  It seemed as though the background needed something instead of being left plain.

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
Stamps:  Best of Halloween, Gorgeous Grunge
Inks:  Summer  Starfruit, Pumpkin Pie, Black Staz-On
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Linen Thread, Witches' Brew Washi Tape, SNAIL, Stampin' Dimensionals, 1/8" Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dots

Do you CASE?

Good morning!
Do you ever browse through your favorite blogs, Pinterest, craft magazines, etc... and CASE cards?  I don't do it all the time but it's fun to do so every once in a while.  The card I have to share with you today is a CASE of a card that I saw on Pinterest.  I'm not even sure how I ended up finding the card that I CASED but I loved it!  I knew it was definitely a card that my customers and friends would absolutely adore!  Once again- I'm not sure who the original creator is as the card had been re pinned numerous times and when I tried to trace the links back- it was broken.  So if it's your creation or you know who the original creator is- please let me know!  I'm always happy to give credit where credit is due!

This card also fits in with my style.  I love everything about it!  See the little chevron pattern in Chocolate Chip ink?  I didn't have a chevron stamp so I created a stencil from the chevron thinlits die (it's part of the Circle Thinlits collection).  So easy to do!

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Crumb Cake, Pool Party
DSP:  Natural Compisition Specialty, Neutrals DSP stack, Subtles DSP stack
Stamps:  Lots of Thanks
Inks:  Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Big Shot, Circle Thinlits Dies, Squares Collection Framelits, Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Bitty Banners Framelits, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Linen Thread, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots, SNAIL, Sponge Daubers

Noel

Good morning!
I had an overwhelming amount of emails yeserday in regards to the Halloween Mini album that I created.  I have not created a tutorial for it yet but I'm working on one.  There really isn't much to making one of your own though!  Mine was created using 4 file folders with alternating tabs, a spine, Baker's Twine and various embellishments.  That's it!

Who needs a card that's super simple to create and takes less than 10 minutes?  That's exactly what I have for you today!  This card is simple yet elegant and perfect for the upcoming holiday season!
  • Simply create a card base from a 11" x 4-1/4" piece of Pool Party Card Stock.
  • Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to 4" x  5-1/4".
  • Take the largest snowflake from the Festive Flurry framelits and place it along the left side of the Whisper White layer leaving half of the die open.  Cut out using the Big shot.
  • Add your choice of sentiments to the bottom right corner.
  • Embellish with a button tied with Baker's Twine and voila!  You're done!

Super easy and super cute!  Thanks for stopping by today!
Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Pool Party, Whisper White
Stamps:  Greetings of the Season
Inks:  Smoky Slate
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Big Shot, Festive Flurry Framelits, Heat Tool, Pool Party Embossing Powder, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals, Vintage Buttons

Monday Montage Blog hop #3

Good evening!  Welcome back to the bi-weekly Monday Montage blog hop!  Have you been enjoying the projects so far?  I hope so!  Lots of beautiful and fun creations are shared here!

I've been playing around with my new favorite tool- (the Envelope Punch Board) a lot lately.  I have hundreds of reasons on why I love this product. Not only can I create 66 different size envelopes with it- but I can also make a mini album!  Too much fun!

This cute little album was created using four single tabbed file folders.  I added a Pumpkin Pie card stock spine and used Whisper White Baker's Twine to hold the pages inside the album.

This is the spine of the album.  I wrapped the Whisper White Baker's Twine around the center of each folder to hold it in place.  The spine was adhered to the front and back covers using Sticky Strip.
Here are the inside pages.  I decorated them all differently using a variety of different Halloween themed stamp sets, DSP and other various embellishments.  Some pages have pockets and tags and others are just embellished with a few elements.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed my project!  It was a lot of fun to create!  Be sure to follow the hop all the way around to check out the other fabulous creations!

Mini Album Ingredients:

Around the World

Good morning!
Are you enjoying your weekend?  Yesterday I baked some homemade apple pies and today I will make homemade applesauce.  I need to use up the apples I picked last weekend when I visited my parents in New York state.
I apologize for not posting yesterday.  I have been extremely busy writing a tutorial and working on projects for which I am a guest designer for.  Unfortunately I'm not as tech-savvy as I would like to be and a project that should have taken me an hour ended up taking me over 9 hours.  Thankfully it's now complete!

My card today is a shaker card.  I always love getting cards that are fun.  This card is no exception!  It has plenty of confetti as well as glitter inside.  The sentiment reads "away we go".  It's the perfect card to let someone know about a surprise trip!
Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Pool Party, Real Red
DSP:  I Am Me

Pinterest case

Good morning!
Today I have a card to share with you that was CASED from Pinterest.  I'm not really sure why I liked the card on Pinterest because it's not really my style.  It is however cute!  Unfortunately there was no name linked to the pin  and it had been repinned numerous times so I'm not sure who the original creator is.  If you know- please send me an email so that I can give proper credit!  I also want to note that the card I cased was not created using Stampin' Up! products.  My card however is made completely from Stampin' Up! products.
Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Tempting Turquoise, Pistachio Pudding, Melon Mambo, Silver Foil Sheet
DSP:  Neutrals DSP stack
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot, Expressions Thinlits, Label Thinlit's (arrow's), Hearts Collection Framelits, SNAIL, Stampin' Dimensionals, Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

Wahoo part 2

Good morning!
I have another My Paper Pumpkin card to share with you today!  Every month when the My Paper Pumpkin subscription kit comes- I always create one card exactly like the one in the kit.  Then I modify the rest!  This is a perk for all of my My Paper Pumpkin subscribers as they receive a PDF tutorial of the other card designs!  Sometimes I share the cards here and sometimes I do not.
Here is another Wahoo card but modified slightly.

Yesterday's Wahoo card was vertical and made exactly like the one pictured in the kit.
Here they are together:

It's the same card only with a different orientation. The chevrons are placed in a different location and in a different order.  As you can see- there are many possibilities with these monthly kits!

Wahoo!

Good morning!
Yesterday was a very productive day!  Not only did I sand my cute little chest of drawers but I also had time to bake some homemade chocolate chip cookies!  I gotta admit- I really don't like to bake.  I tend to bake a lot for the holidays and then for the rest of the year- forget it.  I don't have the patience and I get burned out really easily.  I can already tell it's not going to be a good year for baking!

Yesterday I received the best kind of mail.  Happy mail!  My monthly My Paper Pumpkin kit arrived!  I LOVE this kit!  As I've said before- I have an addiction to office supplies and this month's kit has the cutest little file folder tag.  Now it's not a file folder exactly- but it is a file folder shape and it's super cute.  Two stamps came in the kit- one says "Wahoo"  and the other says "you did it!".  I think that this just might be my favorite My Paper Pumpkin Kit!
Would you like to sign up for My Paper Pumpkin?  It's a fun little craft escape that arrives once a month!  It's $19.95 plus tax.  Visit http://mypaperpumpkin.com to join today!  Be sure to choose me as your demo (Dani Dziama)!
Have a wonderful Wednesday and thanks for stopping by!

Perfect Blend

Good morning!
How are you today?  Did you have a crazy busy Monday like I did?  I spent the majority of the day trying to strip paint from an old chest of drawers.  First I tried to sand the paint off but that wasn't working so I decided to try some industrial strength liquid paint stripper.  The paint stripper worked well but it was also harmful to work with.  I was wearing rubber gloves and I could still feel the stripper eating through to my skin!  Fortunately I was able to wash it off quickly and add a few more pairs of gloves so that the paint stripper would take longer to get to my skin.  So far- so good!  The paint is completely stripped off and now I'm in the process of sanding the rest of the stain/finish off.  I've found several fun ideas on how to refinish old furniture so I thought I'd give one a try!  I can't wait till it's done!  Then my punches will have a new home!  (They currently are in a cardboard box).

Even though I was busy working on my furniture piece- I still had some time to whip up a CAS card real quick!  (CAS stands for  Clean and Simple for those of you who are wondering)  It's nothing fancy but it sure is cute!  I've actually had this set since June but this is the first time I ever used it.  I LOVE it!  Such a fun little set!  Hmm...the ideas are brewing in my head!  I've got many great ideas for this little set!

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
DSP:  Sweater Weather, Neutrals DSP stack
Stamps:  Perfect Blend
Ink:  Early Espresso
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Neutrals Candy Buttons, Curly Label Punch, Big Shot, Chevron Embossing Folder, Linen  Thread, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL, Glue Dots

Another Thank You

Good morning!
Did you enjoy your weekend?  I certainly did!  On Friday I drove to my parents house in New York state to pick apples.  After we were done picking apples- my father jokingly suggested that we go pick grapes too. So that's exactly what we did!  All in all- we ended up picking 5 bushel's of apples and 28 pounds of grapes!  It was a lot of fun!!!  I'll be baking pies and making homemade applesauce all week! Did you do anything fun this past weekend?

Today I have a card to share with you.  It's nothing fancy.  Actually it's a pretty simple card!  I used the Another Thank You photopolymer stamp set.  I stamped the largest Thank You in Bermuda Bay ink onto Whisper White card stock.  Then I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to grunge it up a bit!
I was short on time so I didn't have time to create something fancy.  I hope you still enjoy it!  I think it's fun just as it is!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Monday!

Card Stock:  Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge, Another Thank You

It's all about the candy!

Thanks for stopping by!  For some reason Friday the thirteenth put me in the mood to make Halloween projects!  That means that I have another cute little Halloween favor to share with you.  I CASED these adorable little treat boxes from my fabulous upline Becky Roberts Her creations are always amazing!
I pretty much kept my boxes the same as hers.  The only exceptions are the card stock color and the ribbon.  These boxes are little but they are big enough to hold 2 fun size candy bars which I'm sure would delight the recipient!  I had made a few different styles of these (mostly Halloween and Christmas) and had a request for some done in a baby theme.  I have a ton of ideas on how to decorate these cute little creations so it should be fun!
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Num-Num

Good morning!
Today is Friday the thirteenth!    I'm not sure why- but Friday the 13th has always been one of my favorite days!  I'm not really a fan of the movies or anything like that.  I just think it's a fun day!  How about you?

Last night I finally got around to playing with my Goodie Gear and Oh, Goodie! stamp set that I received at Convention.  It is a SUPER cute bundle!  The Goodie Gear itself comes with long striped stickers, banners, mini tags, bakers twine and little clear treat bags.  Since the kit I received at Convention was the Red Goodie Gear- I chose to create my own tags using Basic Black card stock and the Halloween Washi Tape.  I think they came out cute!
I filled the little treat bags with some delicious candy corn.  I swear that stuff is evil!  I definitely have a love-hate relationship with it.  So tasty but so not healthy and I can never stop with eating just one or two pieces.  Oh well.  I tried to resist!

Truly Grateful file folder card

Good morning!
Are you sick of file folder cards yet?  I hope not because I have another one to share with you today!  This one is for Thanksgiving.  Unfortunately the picture makes the top of the card front look too big but it's not. The card is actually slightly open and tilted somewhat so it just looks like it's bigger.  I'm really loving the Sweater Weather DSP.  It's full of beautiful colors!  I never thought I'd say it- but I REALLY like Crushed Curry!  It's the perfect fall color!
Have you gotten your One Tab File Folder card tutorial yet?  If not- subscribe to my newsletter (sign up is located at the top left of the sidebar)!  The tutorial will be sent automatically!

UPDATE:   I have had several people inquire about a snowflake tutorial (for the snowflake shown on  yesterday's card).  I am working on it and will have it up sometime later today or tomorrow at the latest!  As for how I created my cute little treat box- instead of rewriting the instructions- I am sharing the tutorial link that I used.  Those instructions can be found HERE.

Monday Montage Edition #2

Good evening and welcome to the second edition of the Monday Montage Blog Hop!   We have lots of amazing projects to share with you!  Did you just come from Cathy Casey's post?  If not- take the hop all the way around to see her beautiful work!

My project for today is a card and a little treat box.  I have been playing around with the Envelope Punch Board for the past few days and have enjoyed making file folder cards with it.  I have a file folder card to share today but it's different from the other file folder cards that I have seen posted online.  My card only has one tab instead of 2.

Here is a close up of the inside/outside of the file folder card.  The snowflake on the front is 3 dimensional and has several layers.  It's also a cinch to create!  For the inside of the card- I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Messages stamp set and embossed opposite corners with the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder.

The little treat box is definitely tiny BUT it's big enough to hold 2 fun size candy bars.  It's the perfect little gift!  Best of all- the little box only uses a half a sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock!  I think it's super cute!
Thanks for stopping by!  Please click the NEXT button to head over to the fabulous Dara Gloden.  I'm sure she has something awesome in store for you!

Festive Flurry Tag

Good Morning!
Today I have a tag to share with you.  It was created using the Festive Flurry stamp set and coordinating Framelits from the Seasonal catalog.  I must admit- I didn't order this bundle right away as I wasn't sure I "needed" another snowflake set.  Boy was I wrong!  Yesterday was the first day I'd gotten around to playing with it (and I've had it since Wednesday).  It's definitely a lot of fun!  I love that 3 dimensional snowflake ornaments can be created!  The sizes are all interchangeable so different ornaments can be created.  The first one I made- was an ornament similar to the ones pictured on page 13 in the Seasonal catalog.  Not bad for my first try and no instructions!

It's hard to tell from the picture but the actual snowflake ornament is 3 dimensional.  It actually has 4 layers.  Two of which are scored/folded/glued together in the middle to make them 3 dimensional.  I think it came out pretty well!
I hope you enjoy your weekend!  The weather here is supposed to be in the 80's.  I'm thankful that summer is still holding out!  It never seems long enough!
Thanks for stopping by!

Photopolymer Stamps

Good morning!
Woot woot!  It's time for the weekend to begin!  The weeks sure do fly by!  For today- I have a card that I created using the "Another Thank You" photopolymer stamp set.  If you have not yet taken advantage of the photopolymer stamp sets- you should look into it!  Stampin' Up!  has several sets available to choose from and they are all fabulous!  I LOVE how they stamp/stick to the blocks.  (I'm pretty sure I said that yesterday too.  Sorry!  But it's true!)
For this card- I used Gorgeous Grunge to create a background and then I added the sentiment to a layered Deco Label.  This card is by no means fancy but it's simple and to the point.  I like it!

I hope you have a fabulous Friday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Card Stock:  Very  Vanilla, Rich Razzleberry
Stamps:  Another Thank You photopolymer, Gorgeous Grunge

Another Thank You

Good morning!
My new goodies arrived yesterday!  I felt like a small child on Christmas morning!  I LOVE getting boxes of new  Stampin' Up! products!  One of the items I ordered was the Another Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set.  This is my very first photopolymer stamp set.  I've heard conflicting opinions on how photopolymer stamps stamp and I wasn't really sure I would like them.  Thankfully I ordered them anyway because they are AWESOME!!!  Not only do they stamp beautifully but they also stick to the clear block with no issues at all!  I definitely give them a 2 thumbs up!
Here is the card that I created.  I also used the Tape it Stamp set.  It's a fun set to use!  Especially if you love washi tape as much as I do!
Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Very Vanilla, Bermuda Bay
Stamps:  Another Thank You (photopolymer), Tape-It, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink:  Black Staz-On, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Decorative Label Punch, Linen Thread, Stampin' Dimensionals, Paper Snips

Envelope Punch Board

Good afternoon!
Today's post is a little late- we are in the process of getting a different internet service provider as our current one is insufficient.  Hopefully within the next few hours (I'm waiting for the tech to arrive) we will be back to normal internet capabilities and I can actually share things with you without it taking forever to upload.

I created a card today using the brand new Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board (item #133774- $19.95).  Since I love office supplies- I thought it was only fitting to create a card that resembled a file folder.  I am not the original creator of the file folder card and I'm not sure who is.  However I did find the tutorial I used to create mine from Patty Bennett.  She has a fabulous video showing just how to create these cute cards.
I created a horizontal card but they are just as cute when made vertical!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Merry

Good morning!
It's official!  The kids are back in school!  Woot woot!  (sorry....don't mean to sound so excited lol)  My days from now on will consist of stamping, stamping and more stamping!  FINALLY!  The house is all mine again!
I created a Christmas card to share with you last night.  It's super simple and there's not much to it.  I was trying to create a card that would resemble a present.  I'm not sure if I actually like how it came out but my son sure did!  He seems to be a fan of the fancy little curls!  I know when I wrap presents- I always make them look really fancy.  I love to use curling ribbon but since Stampin' Up! doesn't sell the cellophane curling ribbon- I made my own!  Out of 1/4" strips!  All you need to do is cut your strip (the longer the length- the longer the finished curl will be) and wrap it around a pencil.  I wrap my card stock around the base of the Paper Piercing Tool (I have the old style).  It works great!

Thanks for checking in and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Island Indigo, Smoky Slate
DSP:  Winter Frost DSP stack
Tools:  Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot, Expressions Thinlits, Paper Piercing Tool, Glue  Dots, SNAIL, 1/8" Silver Ribbon, Paper Snips

Happy Labor Day!

Good morning!
I hope you are all enjoying the wonderful 3 day weekend!  It's hard to believe though that it's already time for the kids to go back to school.  Tomorrow is their first official day here in Monroe.  Summer always seems so short!  From here to fall it sure does seem like the time goes by quickly!  Once it becomes winter- it seems like the season will never end.  Do you feel that way too?  Come on Spring!  I'm ready already!

Today I have a home decor frame to share.  I actually created a matching card a few weeks ago and I knew I also had to make a picture to display for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
I found the wooden frame while I was out shopping a few weeks ago.  It is made from reclaimed barn wood.  I knew when I saw it that it was the perfect frame for this picture.  Here is a picture of the frame and the card that inspired it.
Thanks for checking in and I hope you enjoy the rest of your Labor Day holiday!

Trick or Treat!

Good morning!
Are you enjoying your Labor Day weekend?  My husband and I took a quick day trip to Buffalo this weekend.  Once again it's time for Fantasy Football so we had to travel for the "draft".  At this time of the year- I pretty much have every weekend to myself.  At least Sundays and Mondays! Perfect for some extra stampin' time!

Today I have another Halloween project to share with you!  It's a Halloween card that I created using the Best of August stamp set.  I LOVE this little haunted house!  It's so cute!  I also used the Trick or Treat sentiment from the same stamp set.  The chevron background was created using the Build a Banner kit- the stencils in it are perfect for cards!  I haven't done it yet, but I'm thinking I should color in the moon or perhaps add some color to the windows on the house.
