Monday Montage #144

Welcome back! It's time for a Monday Montage Blog Hop.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Today's project is an Anniversary card featuring silver heat embossed stripes.

I'm a sucker for big chunky stripes!  Especially for black and white stripes however I wanted this card to have a little bling to it so I used the Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder instead.

To create the stripes- I began by  taping off 1/2" sections.  Next- I applied some VersaMark ink all over the layer (including over the tape).  I then poured the Silver Stampin' Emboss powder all over the layer and removed the excess.  I preheated the Heat Tool for a few seconds before directing the heat over the embossing powder.

I then slowly peeled the tape off to reveal the gorgeous striped background!

Several hearts from the Be Mine Stitched Dies were used to create the layering images.   Happy Anniversary (Well Said Stamp Set) was stamped onto Basic Black Card Stock and heat embossed using White Stampin' Emboss Powder.  So cute and fairly simple to create!

Fancy Friday In Color Fun!

Welcome, welcome welcome!  I'm so happy you've joined us for our Fancy Friday Blog Hop.  All participating in the hop are either current or former members of the Stampin' UP! Artisan Design Team....such an amazingly talented bunch!

Today it's time for some 2019-2021 In-Color Fun!  These pretty colors will be available for 2 years!  How awesome is that?

To create the focal point for my card- I began by cutting 1/2" x 2-3/4" strips of the 2019-2020 In Color Designer Series Paper.

I chose to work with the Argyle pattern because I liked the look the pattern added with the strips of DSP misaligned.   The Woven Threads Trim makes the perfect tassel ribbon!  Simply trim off the bottom edge and you're left with tassel trim!

The I Love You sentiment was from the Woven Heirlooms Stamp Set and the cute hearts are from the Be Mine Stamp Set.  I love to mix and match patterns to add both texture and dimension.  Each heart has a coordinating 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dot to add even more dimension.

#TGIFC221 Inspiration Challenge - Christmas in July!

Hi friends!  Today at #TGIF Challenges we are having an Inspiration Challenge!  It's Christmas in July!

How fun is that?  Do you love to make Christmas cards year round?  I always like to start designing early as most of my weekends from October on are filled with craft and vendor shows.
I'm sad to admit that my selection of holiday stamps are extremely limited at the current moment.  That's not really an issue though as the First Frost Stamp Set made it into the new Annual Catalog!  So happy about that!

It's difficult to see in the picture as I only very lightly embossed using the Seasonal Wreath 3D Embossing Folder.  I then created several stamped images (using Pretty Peacock, Old Olive, Mango Melody and Petal Pink Inks) from the First Frost Stamp Set and coordinating Frosted Bouquet Dies.
After arranging them onto the right side of the wreath- I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock Ink and into the center of the wreath.

Using the Bermuda Bay Dark Stampin Blend- I added a bit of splatter.  The Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets may just be my favorite embellishment!  LOVE them!

Please join our challenge this week!  The deadline for entries is 10am PST on Thursday 7/25 and I would LOVE to see what you create for Christmas in July!

Monday Montage #143

Welcome back! It's time for a Monday Montage Blog Hop and I have a beautiful card to share!

As I said on the last Monday Montage Blog Hop- Black and White cards are my favorite.  They are so simple yet gorgeous.  Tonight's card is no exception!

Once again- I've used the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set.  It lends itself so well for black and white cards.  The images are gorgeous regardless of color (or lack there of).

The subtle Basic Black layer makes the floral images on the card pop.   I have again used the Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend to add just the slightest bit of shadowing.  The black flecks were added using a dry Aqua Painter and a dab of Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Refill.

A tiny piece of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon with a bow made from a piece of 5/8" White Flax Ribbon was added to the top right of the card layer for added interest.  The Frosted and Clear Epoxy  Drops were added for some bling.

OSAT July- Down on the Farm

Welcome!  I'm so happy you've decided to join us!  Today at OSAT we are sharing projects from down on the farm!

My projects today feature the Over the Moon Stamp Set.  These little cow's are the sweetest ❤!

I love creating the faux grass using the Stampin' Blends!  The pastures are adorable when paired with this little creature.

For my non card project- I have a mini treat box to share- it uses a 3"x 6" piece of DSP so a scrap is probably the perfect size!  It's large enough to hold just one Lindor Truffle.  Yum!

I created the vellum flower using the Perennial Flower Punch.  I punched 2 flowers- curled the petals with a bone folder and then adhered them together using a glue dot.  A Perennial Essence Floral Center was added to the center.

#tgifc219 Color Challenge

Good morning friends!  Welcome back for another #TGIF  Challenge!  This week we are creating using Purple Posey, Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray.

The card base is Purple Posey Card Stock, Purple Posey Gingham (from the 2019-2021 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper) and a piece of Vellum Card Stock.  The top layer was embossed using the Lace 3D folder.

Next I cut a label from Whisper White Card Stock and the Stitched Labels Dies.  Using the Be Mine Dies- I cut 2 hearts from a piece of Seaside Spray Card Stock and layered them on top of the label.  The Sprig Punch was used to punch 2 Vellum sprigs for behind the label.

The small striped heart was first stamped in Rococo Rose onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and cut out using the Be Mine Dies.  A rose image (also from the Be Mine dies) was layered just behind the striped heart.  The Woven Threads Sequin Assortment lends the perfect finishing touch!

Please join our challenge this week!  The deadline for entries is 10am PST on Thursday 7/11 and I would LOVE to see what you create using Purple Posey, Seaside Spray and Rococo Rose as color inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stampin'!

Dream Big

Good evening!  Tonight I have a card to share that features a new (to me) technique.  Faux grass- created using the grass stamp from the Over the  Moon Stamp Set and 3 Stampin' Blends (Light/Dark Granny Apple Green, Dark Shaded Spruce).

Isn't it just the most adorable little scene?  I was browsing Facebook when I came across a FB live video being held by my friend Paula Dobson.  Since I've had a little extra time lately due to a total knee replacement surgery 2 weeks ago- I figured I'd watch.  I'm so glad I did because Paula taught her technique on how to create the adorable little pasture of grass!

I gotta say- it came out adorable!  To finish creating the scene- I used the cloud image from the This Little Piggy Stamp Set and stamped it several times across the top.  I then used the Light Balmy Blue Stampin' Blend to color in the sky.  I fussy cut the little heart cloud and popped it up with a Stampin' Dimensional to add more depth.

So cute!  Thanks for stopping by!

Monday Montage #142 Thanks!

Well hello there!  I'm so happy you've arrived!  It's time for a Monday Montage Blog Hop and I have a beautiful card to share!

One of my favorite things from the new Annual Catalog is the Magnolia Lane Product Suite.  This gorgeous suite features so many great products!  Memories & More Cards, DSP, Ribbons, a gorgeous stamp set and much more!

My card tonight is simple yet elegant!

I have always loved using black and white for projects.  Simple yet pretty!

To create this card- I first stamped the large Magnolia from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 3 times.  I then die cut the first using the Magnolia Memories Dies.  For the second and third- I fussy cut them out so that I could layer them to give more dimension.

Using the Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend- I added some subtle shadows on both the magnolia and the leaves.  The Thanks sentiment was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed on a piece of Basic Black Card Stock.  Black spatter was added using a dry Aqua Painter and the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Refill.  Pearl Basic Jewels and a White bow finish the card.
