Monday Montage #247

Hey there stampin' friends!  Welcome back for another fabulous Monday Montage Blog Hop!  My card today was actually created for a Stampin' Fancy Friday Sketch Challenge from a few months ago but  I realized I had never shared it.  So today- I'm sharing it because it's pretty and I love the layout!

This clean and simple card is the perfect card to create multiples of!  It's super quick and easy to create. The Country Wreath Dies were used to create the leafy wreath background and the Christmas wreath was created using the Cottage Wreath Stamp Set and then die cut using the Country WreathDies.  The wreath itself was stamped using Garden Green, Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler Inks.  A Linen Thread bow  was used to embellish the wreath.

Monday Montage #246

Hey there stampin' friends!  Welcome back for another fabulous Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Today's card is all about snowflakes!  I created this pretty watercolor card using the Sparkling Snowflakes Stamp Set and coordinating Sparkling Snowflakes Tag Punch.

To create this card- I cut a piece of Lost Lagoon Card Stock in half at 4-1/4" x 11" and folded in half.  A Lost Lagoon top layer was embossed using the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder and adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I then began by watercoloring a piece of Fluid100 Watercolor Paper in Pool Party Ink using a Water Painter. After that layer was dry- I then began stamping all the different snowflakes in Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Pretty Peacock Inks.  I used both the solid and detailed snowflake images.  Then I lightly spritzed the watercolored images using a Stampin' Spritzer filled with water so that the colors bled into each other.

After the steps above were complete- I added some Wink of Stella and some splatters of White Craft Ink.  The watercolored image was then die cut using the Scalloped Contours Dies.  To create the sentiment banner- I punched 2 different banners- 1 from some retired Gold Glimmer Paper and 1 from Basic White Card Stock using the Sparkling Snowflakes Tag Punch.  To layer them I simply cut them down to the sizes I wanted and adhered together using Stampin' Dimensionals.
A layer of Gold Simply Elegant Trim was added under the sentiment for visual interest.

Tricky Treats!

Hello there!  Our theme for this month's Creation Station Design Team Hop is Tricky Treats.  For this challenge- we are sharing tips and tricks for creating treats holders.  I chose to use the Tricks & Treats Bundle for this challenge as I simply adore the lil treat bag die.

In order to create a much shorter treat bag- I used the zigzag edge die to cut off the excess DSP.
I then used the second to largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to create the large Basic Black Circle.  The Basic White layer was cut using the third to largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Be sure to stamp the sentiment towards the right half of the Basic White layer.  This allows for the house die cut to be attached just to the left of the sentiment.  Next- stamp the bats image several times in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Stamp the bats above, below and to the right/left sides of the sentiment.

Ink the house stamp and die cut using the house die from the Tricks & Treats Dies.
TRICK:  To get a smoother stamped image for the house- I first inked the stamp using Versamark and then inked it again using the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Embellish using two Glow In The Dark Bats.  TIP:  To make the Glow In The Dark Bats glow brighter- set them under a very bright light for a few minutes to "charge".
