Monday Montage 50

Hello there and welcome back for the bi-weekly Monday Montage blog hop.  I'm so happy you've joined us!  If I am your first stop on the hop- great!  If not- please use the links provided at the bottom of this post to navigate back to Breelin Renwick or next to Dara Gloden.  I know both have fabulous projects to share with you!

Can you believe it's almost time to start thinking about the holiday's?  August is just about over and for Michigan- it's almost time to go back to school!  Where has the summer gone?  I've bypassed Halloween and headed directly into Thanksgiving!  OK- not really but for the purpose of this post I have!  My projects tonight both feature the absolutely adorable Acorny Thank You stamp set.  The first project is a catalog case because I LOVE the little pillow box that's shown on page 45.

Yes- there really is a beautiful Gold Cord bow that was created using the Gold Cording Trim.  It's just a tad bit difficult to see it in the picture.

My second project is a little note card  also created using the Acorny Thank You stamp set.  I'm telling you- this set is super cute!  The Nuts About You sentiment is perfect for a loved one!  Just think- you could tuck this little card into a lunch box or sneak it into a bookbag!

I hope you've enjoyed my projects for tonight!  Thanks for stopping by!

Missing from my supplies list below is the Winter Wonderland Designer Washi Tape.  It was used on the card!
Please be sure to use the buttons below to see what other awesome projects await you!

Silent Night

Hello there!  Do you have favorite color combinations?  I have a TON of favorites!  One of them is black, gold and white.  I love the elegant look those 3 colors have when combined.  This card is the perfect example!

The DSP used on this card is the Winter Wonderland Specialty DSP.  This DSP isn't like any other I've ever used.  It feels somewhat thicker and kinda reminds me of an expensive gift wrap.  I LOVE it!

I wasn't kidding when I said that the Festive Flower Builder Punch was my new favorite tool!  I swear I've made at least 100 poinsettia's with it!  The poinsettia on this card was created using only the smaller 2 petal sizes.  Yes it's plain compared to when  used with the coordinating Reason for the Season stamp set but for this card it's perfect!
Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your evening!

BOO!

Hello there!  Tonight I have a super cute Halloween project to share with you.  I first saw this adorable Mini Treat Bag at Convention during one of the stamping presentations.  Since I failed to take proper notes on how to create a bag of my own- I had to make do with what I could remember.  The bag itself was created using a sheet of Vellum and the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.  I then sponged Crushed Curry and Tangelo Twist to create a candy corn style bag.  What do you think?

For the treat inside- I have a 6" x 8" Cellophane bag filled with some of my favorite chocolates.  A Rich Razzleberry bow was tied at the top of the treat bag and a die-cut BOO! was added.  I think it came out super cute!  You'll notice that the bones for my skull/cross bones are longer than they actually come.  I simply cut the end off 2 bones and adhered them together to make them longer.

Starry Starry Night

Hello there and welcome back for another Monday Montage blog hop.  Can you believe that this hop is hop #49?  Where does the time go?  If I'm your first stop on the hop- great!  Be sure to use the buttons at the bottom of this post to navigate back to Cathy Casey or next to Dara Gloden.  I know they have some awesome projects to share with you!

I have a beautiful card to share with you tonight.  I knew it was love at first sight when I got to see the Jingle All The Way stamp set and coordinating Sleigh Ride Edgelits at Convention.  They are simply gorgeous!

To create the background of this card- I sponged the entire Whisper White layer with Tempting Turquoise.  I then sponged Island Indigo in random spots for contrast.  I finished it off by sponging Blackberry Bliss all over the card being careful not to cover up all of the other colors.  I tend to be a perfectionist so creating this card was definitely a challenge for me!  Do you see the white flecks in the background?  That was done by squeezing my Aqua Painter until water started to flow out of it.  Then I flicked it all over the inked background.
Sadly, I am not the original creator of this technique.  I'm not exactly sure who is however my fabulous Inking Everything teammate Ruthie Graen showed me how she made hers so I figured I'd try it out for myself.  I LOVE it!  Thanks Ruthie!

Lions and tigers and bears OH MY!

Good evening!  I'm so excited that it's the weekend!  Do you know what that means?  It means that I get to spend countless hours in my craft room creating beautiful projects for all of my upcoming classes.  That's right...CLASSES!  My next card class is on Wednesday August 12th.  If you're interested in attending the class- there will be one at 3pm and another beginning at 6pm.  We will be making 4 all-occasion cards.  Class fee is $10 (or free with a minimum $25 purchase).  Space is limited so let me know ASAP if you want to attend.  I will also be hosting a My Paper Pumpkin event on Tuesday August 18th at 7pm.  You will want to attend this event.  Come see what My Paper Pumpkin is all about- there will be a make and take, snacks as well as a special offer!

For those who have stopped by to see if I'm sharing any more sneak peeks- you're in LUCK!  I have an adorable little "Thankful" card to share tonight.  This card was created using the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set.  The little bear makes me smile!  He is super cute (and kinda reminds me of the bear from the Bear in the Big Blue House from when my kids were little). Sheesh...I guess that makes me kinda old!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great evening!

....and there's more. Sneak peeks that is!

Remember yesterday when I said that you'd have to check back to see some more of the beautiful sneak peek items I've created using the new Holiday Catalog pre-order?  Well you're in luck!  Tonight I have another one to share with you!

This one is almost identical to the square pillow box that I created yesterday however this one was created using the Gift Bag Punch Board.  I am not the original creator of this fabulous hexagon box.  I found the tutorial on Erica Cerwin's blog.  Thanks for sharing your tutorial Erica!

The picture above shows the side view of the hexagon box.  The box itself is a pretty decent size.  It will be perfect to hold various types of small gifts.  Jewelry, candy, chapstick, etc...The top is held closed with a belly band.

For the poinsettia embellishment- I used the new Festive Flower Builder punch and then created a tag.  Isn't it gorgeous?  I'm telling ya- I could play with the sheet music DSP and the Festive Flower Builder punch all day!  There are so many possibilities with these new products!  I can't wait for you to get your hands on them!

This is a close up of the poinsettia embellishment/tag.  What do you think?  Do you like it?

I have a confession....

Hello there!  I have a confession to make.  I'm a stamp-a-holic.  I received my Holiday Catalog preorder today (yes- I overnighted my order) and I've been playing all. day. long.  So much for housework and other chores that needed to be done after work!  There's always tomorrow, right?

The first two projects I'm sharing were CASED directly from the Holiday Catalog.  Both of these projects really stood out to me when I was browsing the catalog and I knew my customers would want to make both.  I thought why not get a head start on my Christmas displays and samples! The first one was created with a new stamp set called Embellished Ornaments.  Every year I'm a sucker for holiday ornaments.  I love them and can never get enough of them!

I love the soft Crumb Cake watercolor background.  It's subtle but if you look real close- you'll see it's there!  The ornament was stamped with Pacific Point ink and then spritzed with water before being stamped onto Watercolor paper.  Thankfully this beautiful stamp has a coordinating thinlit to help cut it out!

My next project is probably my most favorite.  There's just something magical about sheet music, beautiful red flowers and golden accents.

This gorgeous pillow box was created using the new Square Pillow Box Thinlits die, DSP from the Home for Christmas suite, and the new Festive Flower Builder punch.  Trust me when I say that you will want it ALL!  Every. single. item.  The poinsettia leaves were stamped using the new Reason for the Season photopolymer stamp set.

As for my other creations- you'll have to stop back another day to see those!    Don't have YOUR copy of the new Holiday Catalog?  Send me an EMAIL and I'm happy to get one in the mail to you!
Have a wonderful evening and thanks for stopping by!

Prize Patrol!

Hello there!  I have another sneak peek to share with you tonight!  This sneak peek was created using the brand new stamp set called Howl-o-Ween Treat.  I must admit- Halloween is by far my favorite holiday and I was OVER THE MOON excited to win this fabulous set as my Prize Patrol at Convention.
I'm not sure there's a cuter Halloween set anywhere!  LOVE it!

My color combination for this card is Rich Razzleberry, Tangelo Twist and Basic Black.  It's definitely a fun card filled with lots of different textures!
Thanks for stopping by!
