Hello there and welcome back for another Fancy Friday blog hop. I'm hopping with my fancy friends today- all are either current or former members of the Stampin' UP! Artisan Design Team. Today- we are sharing our Christmas cards (the ones we will be sending to our friends and family).
Mine is not overly fancy. In fact it's downright simple to create (or recreate for that matter). The main colors are Basic Black and Whisper White. Yes- I know that Basic Black and Whisper White are not traditional Christmas colors but that's ok! I've added a splash of Merry Merlot and Copper to make it a little more festive.
To create my card- I started with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Whisper White card base. A 4" x 5-1/4" Basic Black layer was distressed and adhered to the card base. A 3-3/4" x 5" Whisper White layer was embossed using the Seasonal Wreath Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered to the top of the Basic Black layer. Next I inked the Buffalo Check Stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamped it onto a Whisper White scrap. This piece was used to cut the letters J and Y. A Snowflake Wire Element was used in place of the O. A Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8" Reversible Ribbon bow was added at the top of the wreath. Pearl Basic Jewels were added for interest.
I hope you enjoyed my card! It's always fun to share what I send to my friends and family! Each year I make a huge variety of cards in which I sell at Craft Shows, at local Vendor events or online via my blog/facebook/instagram. As always- if there are any items that I have shared that you are interested in purchasing do not hesitate to contact me.
Interested in finding me at a Craft Show? Your next opportunity will be Saturday 12/1/18 for Christmas In Ida. I will be at the Prince of Peace Church located at 1920 Lewis Ave. IDA, MI from 8:30am-2:30pm. Be sure to come early as several items will sell out!
Please continue along on our hop and visit my friend Sylwia Schreck's beautiful creation!
