Monday Montage 98- Lots of Love

Hello there and welcome back for the bi-weekly Monday Montage blog hop. I'm so happy you joined us!  Be sure to visit all 10 stops to see what other amazing designers have created to share with you.

For my card tonight I used a stamp set that I absolutely adore but oddly enough haven't used very much.  It's called Lots of Love.

Did you know that there's an entire product suite dedicated to this set?  It's called the Whole Lot of Lovely Suite and it can be viewed on pages 86 and 87 of the Annual Catalog.

Here's a closeup pictured above.  I first embossed the background using the gorgeous Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I used a 1" strip of striped DSP from the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP to form the main focal point.  I then created a sentiment embellishment using the Layered Circles Collection Framelits, the Starburst Punch and the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  The YOU was cut out and adhered to a Foam Adhesive Strip to make it pop off the card.

Lovely Friends

Hey stampers!  Tonight's project is a card that was created using the Lovely Friends stamp set.  This gorgeous stamp set is filled with a ton of sentiments in oh so beautiful fonts.  There's also a coordinating set of Thinlits Dies called Lovely Laurel Thinlits.   These dies coordinate with some of the sentiments as well as floral/leaf images. (I did not use them for my card tonight but wanted to make you were aware that they were available).

One of my all time favorite color combinations is Basic Black, Whisper White and Real Red.  This classy color combination is perfect for so many occasions!  The card I created tonight is a great example!  It can either be an Anniversary card, a Wedding card or a card to just simply say "I love you".

The picture above is a closeup of the sheet music heart embellished.  I simply wrapped some of my favorite Gold Metallic Thread all around the heart.  Then a teeny tiny heart was added to the upper right portion of the heart.  ❤

Stampin' UP! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop- Colorful Seasons

Hey there!  Welcome back to another Stampin' UP! Artisan Design Team Blog hop!  If you are hopping with us today then you may have arrived here from the fabulous Cathy Caines.  Isn't she amazing? As we are a group of 20 demonstrators from around the world- our blogs are written in many different languages.  Please be sure to use Google Translate so that you can follow along in your language.  You don't wanna miss out on any of the fabulous details!

For our hop today, we are featuring the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set and coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.  This stamp set and coordinating dies are some of the most versatile sets in the entire new catalog!  So many possibilities all wrapped up into one bundle!

Since I have seen so many beautiful samples created with the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set- I chose to create a card that was a little more out of the ordinary for cards created using this set.

To create the background- I cut out 28 scalloped pieces from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack using the "water" thinlit from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.  I chose to use pieces of DSP that had a full ombre look.  This specific piece of DSP helped create the perfect ombre background.

After all the scalloped pieces were cut- I separated them according to shade of color.  Next, from darkest to lightest, I began alternating the scallops as I adhered them to the card layer.  After I had adhered all the pieces to the card layer- I carefully trimmed the edges and attached the card layer to the front of the card.

Next it was time to add a sentiment and some embellishments.

In the picture below you can kind of see that the scallops are not completely adhered to the card front.  This was intentional ☺  It helps add the illusion of dimension without adding extra thickness to the card.

How awesome would this background be if it were used to create a mermaid tail?  Or a fish?  Or a dragon?  So fun and so easy to create!

Stampin' UP! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop- Carols of Christmas

For our hop today, we are featuring the BRAND NEW Carols of Christmas Stamp Set and the coordinating Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies.  From now through July 31 demonstrators can preorder this gorgeous new holiday bundle!  The demonstrator preorder is the perfect opportunity to get your hands on a few new holiday products and start planning those holiday classes!  Why not order yours today!

The first card I have to share is my favorite.  It's not made with traditional holiday colors.  Instead- I used a combination of Pink Pirouette, Whisper White and Crumb Cake.  So pretty...especially when paired with silver!

The background layer was stamped using the Marbled background stamp.  I then created a few more layers with coordinating colors.

See that gorgeous tree?  I wanted an image that would pop off the card stock.  Since there is no tree stamp in the Carols of Christmas stamp set- I made a faux chipboard piece instead.  To create the faux chipboard tree,  I first cut several trees from Pink Pirouette card stock.  Next I adhered them together to create a thick tree.  I then covered the entire front of the tree with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and sprinkled it with Silver Stampin' Glitter.  The addition of the Pink Pirouette deer is the perfect finishing touch!

My next card doesn't have traditional Christmas colors either. This color scheme was simply Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso.  The background on this card was created using the gorgeous Post Script background stamp.

Again- I created a faux chipboard tree for added interest.
I love the vintage feel that this card has.  It's so pretty!

Want to see another fun Christmas card?  Check this one out!  It's definitely not created with the typical red and green as most Christmas cards are.
This color combination is super fun and is totally perfect for Christmas!

The Sheet Music background stamp fits in perfectly and the colors make me think of warm weather!  Which is what I'm usually wishing for around the holidays as it gets super cold here in Michigan.

The Carols of Christmas Stamp Set and Card Builder Thinlits Dies are perfect for creating more than just cards!  Here is a mini pizza box created using this gorgeous product suite.  See that cute little star on top of the faux chipboard tree?  The Subtles Enamel Shapes are the perfect tree topper!  Way too cute!

For my last project- I actually created a card using traditional Christmas colors.  For some reason it just didn't seem right to not share a traditional Christmas card.  So here it goes....

This card features Tranquil Tide, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake.  I must admit I'm pleasantly surprised at how gorgeous Tranquil Tide and Cherry Cobbler are together.  This picture truly doesn't do this card justice!  I know its difficult to see in the picture however to create the background for this card, I scored a lattice background and adhered Pearl Basic Jewels at each intersecting line.   What do you think?  Do you like the traditional card or the non traditional cards better?

As you can see from the projects I've shared above, the new Carols of Christmas Stamp Set and Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies are perfect for creating projects of all kinds!  They coordinate perfectly with SO many products in the Annual Catalog.  This bundle is a must have for your stamping collection!

Are you a customer wondering when you can get your hands on this gorgeous product bundle?  It will be available to you beginning on August 1st!  Stay tuned for more details!

Monday Montage #96

Hello there and welcome back for the bi-weekly Monday Montage blog hop. I'm so happy you joined us!  Be sure to visit all 10 stops to see what other amazing designers have created to share with you.

My project tonight features the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set and the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper.

I love this gorgeous DSP!  It's so colorful and the prints are fun!  One of my favorite ribbons in the new Annual Catalog is the 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.  It's so soft and pretty!  It also ties well which is a HUGE bonus!

The Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set is so versatile!  There are many different images and sentiments to choose from!  I gotta admit- I'm NOT a huge peach fan but there's just something magical about pairing Peekaboo Peach and Night of Navy together.  I LOVE it!
