Monday Montage #172: Magic In This Night

Hey there stampers! It's Monday and that means it's time for another Monday Montage Blog Hop!

I can tell that summer is winding down.  Schools are opening, the weather is changing and it's getting dark sooner.  This can only mean one thing.  It's time to prepare for Halloween!

Halloween is my favorite holiday!  I love everything about it!  The colors, spooky treats, the decor- everything!
It's such a fun time of the year!  So far I've been creating a ton of fun Halloween cards.  This card was created using Hallows Night Magic Stamp Set and coordinating Magic In This Night DSP.

This DSP may be some of my very favorite...like ever.  It's gorgeous.  I've used two of my favorite prints from the DSP- the white with black flowers/splatter and the black argyle print.  The bats were stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed using White Stampin' Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool.  Look how intricate they are!  It's a little difficult to see in the pictures but they are amazing!

For this card- I wanted to do something a little different- so I created an Oct 31 sentiment using the Playful Alphabet Dies.  It was the perfect compliment to the main sentiment "There Is Magic In This Night".  The Cajun Craze color makes the Oct 31 stand out from the Pretty Peacock label.
Did you notice the 1-1/2" Metallic Mesh Ribbon?  It sits just below the sentiment.  The Iridescent Pearls add the finishing touch!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great evening!  Please be sure to click the links below to navigate throughout the hop!  My fellow Monday Montager's have some amazing projects to share!

Monday Montage #171: Love of Leaves

Hey there stampers! It's Monday and that means it's time for another Monday Montage Blog Hop!

When I first saw the Love of Leaves Stamp Set and coordinating Stitched Leaves Dies I wasn't sure I really needed them.  After all- Fall is NOT my favorite season (even though I love Halloween).  I'm not a fan of the cooler weather or fall at all.  But....I couldn't resist buying them because the set is absolutely adorable!

I LOVE how just a few simple leaves make such a gorgeous card!  This card was created using the Plaid Tidings 6"x6" DSP, the Stitched Leaves Dies and the coordinating Love of Leaves Stamp Set.  I also used the following card stock colors:  Cinnamon Cider, Pretty Peacock, Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie.

Isn't it pretty?  I love how it turned out and I'm so happy I purchased this bundle!  Can't wait to play with it again soon to create another fabulous card!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great evening!

Magic In This Night

Hey there stampers!  Welcome back!  Tonight I have a card that I created using my favorite new Product Suite from the Stampin' UP! August-December Mini Catalog.  It's called Magic In This Night.  It. Is. Gorgeous.

It's no secret that Halloween is my favorite holiday so naturally it was the first suite that I gravitated towards.

To create this card- I used the Magic In This Night DSP.  This DSP may just be my favorite ever!  It has some pretty amazing prints that do not disappoint!   For the background I have used the argyle patterned paper.  I then used a piece of 1-1/2" Metallic Mesh Ribbon to create a shiny row of webs  tucked behind the Vellum Card Stock layer.

This close up shows just how awesome the Vellum layer is.  For the Vellum layer- I  used the Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder and a piece of Vellum Card Stock.  I love how it turned out!  The cobwebs are very dimensional!

To embellish the card- I added several different layers of DSP in addition to die cuts.  The black roses were fussy cut from a piece of the Magic In This Night DSP.

Beautiful Friendship

Hello stampers!  Today I'm back with a pretty Thank You card that I created for a friend.  The Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set is so lovely that it's hard to resist using it!

For my card- I used Pool Party Card Stock as the base and as a layer.  I stamped the hydrangea image into Pool Party ink and stamped it sporadically on the Pool Party layer.  Next- I heavily distressed the edges with a pair of Paper Snips.  The layer was then adhered to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The top layer of this card is a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  I stamped the rose images into Calypso Coral ink onto the bottom right corner of the layer.  The leaf images were stamped in Pear Pizzazz.  I then stitched about a half inch border in the upper left and bottom right corners.  The Thanks Friend sentiment is from the Well Written Stamp Set.  It was stamped in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed using the Heat Tool and White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

For the finishing touches- I added some gorgeous Pool Party 3/8" Sheer Ribbon.  On top of that- I added a tiny bow using the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack.  The Elegant Faceted Gems added the finishing touch!
Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Stampin'!
