2103 Artisan Design Team Finalists Blog Hop- Day 10

Welcome to Day 10, the final day of our blog hop.  I truly hope that you have enjoyed all the fabulous projects that we have created.  It's been a lot of fun to hop around and see what the other finalists have made.

My last project is a scrapbook page of my son  Cameron when he was 4 years old (he's now 15).  This particular picture is from his very first day of preschool.   The week that I made this page I had been playing around with making Shaker cards.  To keep with that theme I decided to try and make a shaker scrapbook page!  I LOVE how this page turned out.  The Storytime DSP was absolutely PERFECT for the preschool theme.
For the most part- this page was easy to create.  The addition of the glitter pockets was a little tricky though! I zigzag stitched around the outside edges of the page as well as each individual section on the bottom half of the page.  The glitter has plenty of room to move around and truly adds the perfect touch!

If you've ever used the Storytime DSP, you know that it comes with an entire sheet of alphabet letters/pictures.  I prefer to call them flash cards.  I used the C, A, and M cards to spell out Cameron's nickname in little pennants.
Once again I used the little flash cards to create a book of ABC's and 1,2,3's.  To make the book- I took a piece of Lucky Limeade card stock for the cover/back of the book.  Inserted the little flash cards and stapled them all together.  Then I embellished the cover by cutting out a coordinating shape and adhered it to the front of the book with Glue Dots.  Super cute!!!

Page Ingredients:

Thank you SO much for hopping around with us these past 10 days!  It's been a lot of fun!  I hope that you will join us again on Monday, August 26, 2103 for a NEW Blog Hop!  It's called the Monday Montage Design Team Finalists Blog Hop!

  1. Absolutely adorable page, and I appreciate all the extra work that went into it. I can't believe you added the "shaker" portions. I could look at this one for hours.

  2. Dani, this is really cute! I may be a little biased but I'm a little confused on why you weren't in the top 10.
