Tea Party favor

Good Monday morning!
Today's post is short and sweet.  Over the weekend I made a Tea Party favor.  When I went to Convention- my fabulous roommate Kathy had made one for me and I loved it!  So I decided to CASE her and make one of my own!
They are very simple to create and they don't require a lot of supplies.  I used the Top Note die for the front and back covers.  The inside is simply a 6" x 12" piece of DSP.  I scored the long side at 3", 6" and 9".  The short side was scored at 2".  Accordion fold and adhere the edges closed with Sticky Strip.  I used a Glue Dot in between each pocket to keep each tea bag in place.  I attached the folded pockets to the front and back covers using SNAIL.  What a cute and simple way to make a little gift or party favor for someone!
The first picture shows the Tea "book" closed.

Thankful

Good morning!
Since I played with my Thinlit Card dies so much the last few days, I decided to take a little break from using  them.  Instead I chose to use another Thinlits die set.  My card today features the Expressions Thinlits.  In case you're not sure what the Expressions Thinlits are- they are a set of 3 word dies.  One says Merry, one says Thankful and the last one says Love.  This set of Thinlits is in the new Seasonal Catalog that just went live on August 1st and they are now available for you to order!
Don't have a copy of the Seasonal Catalog yet?  Let me know!  I'd be happy to send one to you!
As with any die with intricate parts- it's always extremely helpful to add a piece of wax paper to your cutting sandwich.  It definitely makes the words pop out of the die much easier!  There are also tiny little holes in the die so you can use your Paper Piercing Tool to push the card stock out of the die.

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Very Vanilla
DSP:  Sweater Weather
Ink: Chocolate Chip Reinker, Versamark
Tools:  Stampin Trimmer, Paper Snips, Burlap Ribbon, Linen Thread, Vintage Buttons, Pool Party Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Autumn Accents Bigz Die, Expressions Thinlits, Big Shot, Build a Banner Kit (polka dot stencil), Stampin' Spritzer bottle, 70% alcohol, SNAIL, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Holly Jolly

Good morning!
It's finally the weekend!  For me this week seemed to drag on and on.  I think it was mostly because I was anxiously awaiting several deliveries of Stampin' Up! goodies.  Yesterday I received my Circle and Label Thinlits Card Die's.  I think that everyone NEEDS these 2 new dies!  You wouldn't believe all the possibilities!  I spent my entire day yesterday playing around with them.  I created several  cards and a few other projects using the new dies.
For the first card- I used the Label Thinlits Card die.  I love all the fun elements that comes with this set.  I found that when I was using the word dies- it's best to add a piece of wax paper to your sandwich before cutting.  Definitely helps the letters pop out much easier!

I also created another Circle Thinlits Card.  This time I used the Tags 4 You stamp set.  I love making cards with a little swing image in the center.  You'll notice that my Holly Jolly card is very basic.  I could have added plenty of embellishments and other various elements but I chose to keep it simple and plain.  I was trying to figure out where I could write a note and I decided to decorate the back of the card as well.  It just made sense to me to keep the front/inside simple and to just use the back.  There are pictures of all 3 below:
Here's the front:

There still isn't much room to write a note- but there's plenty of room to say something short and sweet!
Thanks for checking in today!  I hope you enjoy your Saturday.  I am off to the Monroe County Fair!

So much fun!

Good afternoon!
Guess what!  The brand new Thinlits Card Die's have arrived!!!  They actually got here pretty early this morning and I have been playing non stop!  I'm on a bit of a Halloween kick and I saw a card similar to this at Convention.  It is the very first card that I created with these new die's.  Please ignore the fact that I took the picture before I trimmed off my excess Linen Thread (it's not supposed to show and it doesn't now that I've trimmed it).  I was so excited to share with you that I kinda jumped the gun and took a few pic's before I was actually finished.  It's fixed now but the pic's aren't.

The first picture shows the card closed.  It is a regular A2 card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").  The bottom picture shows the card when it's opened.
Would you like to add these dies to your collection?  Please visit my store and order yours today!  You will NOT be disappointed!

Trick or Treat!

Good morning!
I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my brand new Thinlits Card die's.  I ordered both the Label and Circle Thinlits Card die's yesterday and had them overnighted.  They should be here by 10:30 this morning.  I will surely make something with them immediately!  I mean gee- how could I resist?  One thing is for sure.  I am not a patient person LOL.
In the mean time- I made a card yesterday and I figured that since my new dies weren't here yet- I might as well make something with what I already have!  It's a Halloween card.  I know, I know.  It's a little early for Halloween cards but  I am a HUGE Halloween fan.  Halloween is my Christmas so I couldn't resist playing with my new stamps that arrived on Tuesday.  Here is what I came up with:
Do you like it?  I think it's cute!

Be sure to check back a little later today!  I'll have new cards to share!
Have a great Friday!

Expressions Thinlit Dies

Good morning!
Today I have a card that features a few of the brand new products in the 2013 Seasonal Catalog.  The first item I used was the Chevron Stencil from the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit.  This kit comes with eighteen banner pieces, 3 background stencils , 26 alphabet letter stencils and a Stampin' Spritzer bottle.  I love, love, LOVE this kit!  Not only is it perfect to create your holiday banners but it's also the perfect addition to cards or scrapbook pages.

As you can see from the picture below- Stampin' Up! has a brand new product called the Expressions Thinlit Dies.  What exactly are these little dies?  They are a set of 3 words- thankful, merry and love.  They work just like framelits and are super cute!  Here's a tip though- be sure to use wax paper when die-cutting these. The waxpaper really helps the image pop right out of the die!  I know it's hard to see from the picture but I actually used a piece of Silver Glimmer paper for my word!  LOVE it!

Do you have your copy of the 2013 Seasonal Catalog yet?  If not- call or email me and I will get one in the mail to you today!
