White Christmas

Hello there!
I know I've said it a ton of times but I absolutely adore this year's Holiday Catalog.  There are so many beautiful stamps and products available.  There truly is something for everyone!  YES...even if you're picky like me!
My card tonight is a beautiful card that was created using the White Christmas stamp set. I love the adorable little Christmas Tree stamp for the top of the car.  I'm allergic to pine so unfortunately we don't get to have a real tree during the holidays.  I'll just have to settle for this adorable little stamp!

Did you participate in World Card Making Day?  Lucky for me I was able to find time to make some cards after my craft show!  Speaking of craft shows- the next one you can find me at will be at St. Mary's Church in Monroe, MI on Saturday 10/18/14.  There will be LOTS of gift ideas, cards, packaging and much much more!  Hope to see you there!

Monday Montage Blog Hop 29

Hello there and welcome back for the bi-weekly Monday Montage blog hop.  You should have arrived here from the amazing Cathy Casey's blog.  If not and I'm your first stop- no worries! Simply use the back/next buttons at the bottom of this post to navigate your way around the hop.

Tonight I have a card that I CASED (somewhat) from my fabulous upline's upline Suzie Barnes.  She sent me a card for my sales in August and I loved it!  Plus- it's always nice to receive happy mail!  The card that Suzie created was the same style as the one I have below only it said BIG NEWS and had the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper on it.  My card was created for Halloween.  My favorite holiday!

For this card- I used a few different stamp sets.  Three to be exact!  Isn't it cute?  The card inside pulls out and it pictured below.

After I had already created the inside card pictured above- I thought how perfect this card would be for a Halloween Party invitation!  You could use the Holiday Invitation stamp set from the Holiday Catalog!  I'm thinking I need to add that set to my next order!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hopefully I'm not your last stop and that you'll click the next button to head on over to see what the wonderful Dara Gloden has to share.

Star boxes

Hello there!
I'm sure by now you've all seen the beautiful star boxes from the new Holiday Catalog.  If not- they are on page 25.  Click HERE to download a copy of the Holiday Catalog.  Just in case you'd like to make one (or 20) for yourself- you can watch the video HERE.  They are super easy to create.  They don't take a lot of time to make yet they are absolutely gorgeous!

Just think how pretty these would be on a Christmas Tree or as part of a Christmas display on the fireplace mantle.  LOVE them!  I used the new Under the Tree Specialty DSP and Silver Glimmer paper to create the one pictured above.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the Good Greetings stamp set and was inked using the Garden Green and Real Red markers.  It's pretty cute,  isn't it?

Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
DSP:  Under the Tree Specialty
Stamps:  Good Greetings
Inks:  Garden Green Marker, Real Red Marker

Monday Montage 28: Peace & Joy

Hello there and welcome back for the bi-weekly Monday Montage blog hop.  You should have arrived here from the amazing Cathy Casey's blog.  If not and I'm your first stop- no worries! Simply use the back/next buttons at the bottom of this post to navigate your way around the hop.

Tonight I have a Christmas card.  I know- it's WAY to early to be thinking about Christmas.  Or at least it is for me! But still- here I am making Christmas cards!
When I first saw the Tree Punch in the new Holiday Catalog- I fell in love. There's just something about Christmas trees that I absolutely adore and with the new Tree Punch- the options are endless!  There's even a coordinating stamp set called Festival of Trees.  Such beautiful combinations!

For this card- I wanted to keep it fairly simple so I only used the Tree Punch.  I think my favorite element on the card is the layer of DSP.  It's from the All is Calm Specialty DSP and that pattern in particular- is worth stocking up on!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hopefully I'm not your last stop and that you'll click the next button to head on over to see what the wonderful Dara Gloden has to share.

#hello

#hello!
Do you love office supplies as much as I do?  I knew when I saw the brand new Spiral Border punch in the 2014-2015  Annual catalog that I just *had* to buy it.  It screamed office supplies to me.  Now I know it's not "technically" an office supply but it sure does make some cute notepad paper!  The DSP on this card is from the Typeset Specialty DSP and it's a perfect match for the Spiral Border punch.  Together they make the perfect sheet of tablet paper!

For this card- I wanted to add some texture to the DSP but didn't want to emboss it. After using the Spiral Border punch- I wadded the paper up into a ball then opened it back up again.  I did this a few times to break down the fibers in the DSP.   Then all that was left to do was "junk" it up a bit!  Using a Sponge Dauber in Crumb Cake ink- I lightly went over the edges and made a quick pass over the wrinkles to make the DSP look a little dirty. Do you see one of my favorite elements from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set? That's right!  It's the fabulous polka dot border stamp!  That was inked with Coastal Cabana ink, stamped onto scrap paper and then immediately stamped again onto the DSP.   Lastly- I embellished the card with a series of circles and a tiny heart die cut from a sheet of the Typeset Specialty DSP that looked like it was ripped right out of a dictionary.  Sprinkled on a few 2013-2015 In Color Sequins and added a little Coastal Cabana Baker's Twine and viola!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope that you enjoyed my project for the day!
Happy Stampin'!

Kinda Eclectic

Hello there!
Have you ever looked at a stamp set you ordered and thought "what the heck am I going to do with this"? That was the first thought that came into my mind when I opened my order and found the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.   At first- I wasn't sure exactly why I ordered it as it wasn't really my style and now I'm thinking how did I ever live without it! It's totally my style!

This stamp set is beyond awesome!  I absolutely LOVE everything about it.  Especially the super fabulous polka dot stamp.  It has little words on it!  Now granted half the words are missing so it doesn't really say much but I totally love the look!  Everyone NEEDS this set!  If you currently own both Butterfly punches- this set coordinates perfectly with those as well!

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stampin'!
