Creation Station: Gone Wild!

Good morning stampin' friends!  It's time for another Creation Station blog hop!  Today were Stampers Gone Wild!  We are featuring any animal or wildlife stamp set.

This month's theme was a bit of a challenge for me.  I totally thought I had purchased a specific stamp set that I wanted to use for this hop however I couldn't find it.  As it turns out- it was still in a pending order!  Ugh!  So on to plan b.....

I can't say that I'm totally disappointed that I didn't have the set I intended to use.  Actually- I'm quite pleased with how this adorable card turned out!  Animal Outing is just so stinkin' cute and these two rhino's are no exception!

Yes- I'm aware the rhino's are different.  I wanted them that way!  No two animals are alike in the wild and they aren't on my card either!

My card measures 3-1/2" x 7".  I have used my favorite color combination (at the moment, LOL)- Gray Granite/Petal Pink/Pool Party.  To create the rhino facing the opposite direction- I began by inking the rhino image in Tuxedo Black Ink and stamped it onto a Silicone Craft Mat.  Next- I turned the Silicone Craft Mat over onto my card stock and viola!  SO CUTE!!!!  Both rhino's were colored using the Smoky Slate Stampin Blends (both light and dark), Petal Pink Stampin' Blends (both light and dark) and Pool Party Stampin' Blends (both light and dark).

For the sentiment- I stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock.  I then punched it out using the 1-1/4" Circle Punch.  Next- I layered it onto a scalloped circle which was cut from a piece of Petal Pink Card Stock.  (Scalloped circle was cut using the die cutting machine and Layering Circles Collection Dies.  A small next of Silver Metallic Thread lies behind the sentiment for added interest.

The little hearts were cut from the Be Mine Dies.  A Linen Thread bow begins in the bottom right corner and wraps around to the top left corner.

Thanks for stopping by!
Why not continue on our hop!  There are lots of amazing projects to be seen today!  Next up is the fabulous Kerstin Kreuzer!
