Monday Montage #211: For The Record

Hello stampin' friends! Welcome back for the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Today I have a super fun project to share.  My hubby and I collect vinyl albums so I thought it would be fun to create an assortment of "records" and display them in their very own record crate.

The crate itself is a mini wooden crate that I found at a craft store. I dressed it up by adding some 2021-2023 In Color DSP ( I used the Polished Pink and Pale Papaya).  To create the record embellishments- I stamped the record image in Versamark Ink onto a piece of Basic Black Card Stock and heat embossed it using Black Stampin' Emboss Powder.

There is a total of 6 record cards in the crate.  Each individual card has a record jacket created from Vellum Card Stock.

There are a few with the Happy Birthday sentiment simply because it's a popular type of card to gift.

Inside each Vellum record jacket is the cutest miniature die cut record card.  I left the insides of these little record cards blank so that there would be a place to write a message to the recipient.

Here is what the inside of the mini record cards looks like.  Aren't they cute?

Rainbow of Happiness

In case it's gone unnoticed- I have just a slight obsession with the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle from Stampin' UP!  It's probably one of my most favorite stamp/die sets ever.  It's one of those sets that lends itself perfectly for just about every occasion.  You know- the one that gets reached for before all the others on the shelf!

The project I'm sharing today is so fun!  The background was created by using Blending Brushes to craft an ink rainbow.  I used Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron, Granny Apple Green, Soft Sea Foam, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party, Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather.  I cut the inked panel into 1/2" strips and adhered them to a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of  Basic White Card Stock in an offset manner.  Then using the Stitched Rectangle Dies- I cut out the panel that would become the top layer of my card.

Here's a close up!  For the white rainbow pieces- I used the heart/dots/stripes/rain drops images.  Each image was stamped in a coordinating color (Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana).  Using the Playful Alphabet- I cut out the word HELLO and used the negative image to create my sentiment.

The bow was created using the Petal Pink 5/8" Organdy Ribbon.  I carefully cut one edge off and combined it with some white Baker's Twine.  Sparkle & Shine sequins were the perfect embellishments to finish off the card.

Monday Montage: Cactus Cuties!

Hello stampin' friends! Welcome back for the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  My project today is so fun!  It was created using the Cactus Cuties Stamp Set and coordinating Cactus Builder Punch. It's a set of four 3"x3" cards and a little box to store them in.

For all 4 card bases- I chose to use Kraft Paper.  It's a different color and texture than traditional card stock.  It tends to be just a tad bit more rigid.  For the first card created- I stamped the Just A Note sentiment all over the card base using White Craft Ink.  An Evening Evergreen scalloped circle layered with a Basic White Circle help create the main focal image for the cactus.

Card number two was created exactly the same as card number one only with a Polished Pink scalloped circle and Basic White layered circle.  The hello sentiment was stamped onto the card base randomly using White Craft Ink.

Whenever I want to add a subtle border to my cards- I always reach for the Stitched With Whimsy Dies.  As you can see from card number 3- that die set added the perfect touch!

Last but certainly not least is a card featuring an open square "frame".  This was created by cutting a 2-3/4" square piece of Kraft Paper and cutting another square out of the the inner part.  I left a 1/4" border around the inside of the frame.

All images on the 4 cards were inked using the following colors:  Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Polished Pink, White Craft Ink.  To embellish each card- I used White Baker's Twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack and the Sparkle and Shine Sequin Assortment.

The adorable card box was created using Polished Pink, Evening Evergreen and Basic White Card Stock.  The DSP is Polished Pink from the 2021-2023 6" x 6" DSP.

Creation Station: Rainbow Rearrange

Good morning!  Today I'm sharing a card that was created for the Creation Station Rainbow Rearrange Blog Hop.  For this hop- we are sharing cards that feature rainbows in a different way.  It can be non traditional colors, flipped upside down, sideways, etc.

I chose to create a card that featured multiple yellows.  I used Bumble Bee, Daffodil Delight DSP (from the Brights Collection 6" x 6" DSP), So Saffron and Crushed Curry.  This rainbow represents the sun in my dark cloudy sky!

For the background- I used the cloud design from the Basic Borders Dies to create a mask.  Then using a Blending Brush loaded with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink- I carefully added some fluffy clouds.

Stitching on cards is a quick and easy way to create a "frame" around the main stamped image.   Distressing the edges of the layer adds interest.   The card was embellished using the Sparkle and Shine Sequins Assortment.  This sequin assortment is awesome because it contains stars, round sequins and round dome shaped dots.

The final touch for this card was a Bumble Bee Bow stapled along the edge of the top layer.  A small Black Bakers Twine bow was layered onto the Bumble Bee bow to keep within my black/white/yellow color scheme.

Monday Montage Hello Beautiful

Hello stampin' friends! Welcome back for the Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Today I'm sharing a card that I created using the Abstract Beauty Product Suite form the January-June Mini Catalog.  This suite is so fun to use!  The stamps have cute sayings, the dies are fun geometrical shapes and the DSP is gorgeous!

To create this card- I cut 2 layers of DSP from the Abstract Beauty Specialty DSP.  I roughed up the edges of both DSP layers using the blade on my Paper Snips and adhered them to the card base in an offset manner.   Using the Stitched Rectangle Dies- I cut out 5 rectangular DSP panels which staggered and adhered to the top layer.  I then added a medium sized circle image in coordinating DSP (this was the largest open circle from the Beautiful Shapes Dies) to display the sentiment.

TGIF Challenges: Sketch Challenge #tgifc355

Hello Friends! Today I'm playing along with the TGIF Challenges Design Team. Today we are sharing projects created based on the sketch above.  I don't know about you- but I love sketch challenges because it takes the guesswork out of creating.
The design is already planned so grab some stamps, inks, card stock, embellishments and create away!

I used my favorite DSP Sunshine & Rainbows for this bright fun card.  Not gonna lie- I'm gonna be pretty sad when Sale-a-bration is over and we can no longer get this fabulous paper.  I LOVE it!

For this card- I used several different dies.  The Border Basics Dies were used to create the clouds beneath the rainbow.  The Give It A Whirl Dies were used to create the larger clouds at the ends of the rainbow.  The Brilliant Rainbow Dies were used to create the rainbow and smaller clouds.

To add interest to the bright background- I distressed the edges and zig zag stitched a border all the way around.

Why not join in on the fun and create a card of your own?  Simply create a card using the above sketch and submit it on the TGIF Challenges blog using the guidelines below!

Loaded Envelope Challenge

Hello Friends! Today I'm playing along with the TGIF Challenges Design Team.  Our mission was to create a loaded envelope.  I'm not going to lie- loaded envelopes are a new concept to me.  I had never seen one so I had to a little bit of research to see what they are all about!

They sure are adorable!  They can be any size- large or small!  I created mine using a 6" x 6" sheet of Sunshine and Rainbows DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalog.

It has 2 pockets- a larger one and a smaller one.  The smaller one is just above the Hello Friend embellishment.

Lots of goodies fit inside!  The larger pocket in the back- holds a miniature card as well as a package of Metallic Pearls. ...and still has room for more!

The smaller pocket holds 2 tags, a mini card and a mini lolli.

Put it all together and this is what ya get!  Super cute!!!
I definitely see myself making lots of these in the very near future!
