TGIF Challenges: Flip Flop

Good morning!  Welcome back for another TGIF Challenge.  Today our theme is Flip Flop- cards that move.  For this challenge I created a Double Flap Fun Fold card.

The card itself is super simple to create (I just googled for a tutorial).  I chose the Delightfully Eclectic DSP and coordinating card stock (Night Of Navy, Bubble Bath).  Once again I used the Just My Type Stamp Set for the stamped images.  Such a fun stamp set!

This is the inside view.  So cute!

TGIF Challenges: Sketch Challenge

Good morning!  Welcome back for another TGIF Challenge.  Today we are creating projects using a sketch.  I  LOVE a good sketch challenge as it takes the guesswork out of creating!  Simply choose the stamps/inks/cardstock/embellishmenets and you're ready to go!

This card was created using a color palette of Bubble Bath, Night of Navy and Crushed Curry.  I love these colors together.  So pretty!  I've added some texture to the background using the Basics 3D Embossing Folders.  For the main layer of the focal point- I went with a crumpled piece of Delightfully Eclectic DSP.  I then die cut the edge to resemble lined notebook paper using the Gorgeously Made Dies.

Originally I only had the stamped typewriter image (Just My Type stamp set) for the main focus but it was looked too plain.  Instead, I dressed it up by adding a gorgeous flower and some leaves created with the Paper Florist Dies.  In lieu of a ribbon- a piece of Silver Simply Elegant Trim was placed behind the flower to add interest.  A trio of  2022-2024 In Color Iridescent Pearls were added for the final finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by!

Monday Montage #237

Hello stampin' friends!  It's been very sunny and hot here in Ohio the past few weeks.  I'm not complaining- I actually LOVE the sunshine and everything that comes with it.   My card today was inspired by the beautiful sunny weather.

To create this card- I began by die cutting two different Crushed Curry/white- dotted patterns from the Delightfully Eclectic DSP using the Patchwork Pieces Dies.  Then I reassembled the sun rays by alternating each pattern and adhering each ray to a piece of Basic White Card Stock that measures 3-1/2" x 4-3/4".   As you can see in the pictures-I left about a 1/4" gap between the DSP pieces...I did not measure this- just eyed it.  I then used the Basic Borders Dies to create a series of 3 cloud pieces (all which were 3-1/2" wide) and attached those to the bottom portion of the Basic White layer using Stampin' Dimensional.

The sun itself was cut from a Crushed Curry Card Stock scrap using the Reach For The Stars Dies.  Next,  I embossed it using the dotted pattern from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders (available online). It was then adhered just behind the back cloud layer using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment is from 2 different stamp sets- Just My Type and Gorgeously Made.  Hello was stamped in Crushed Curry Classic Ink and stamped off one time to create the lighter shade.  I then cut each letter out using the smallest circle die from the Reach For The Stars Dies and adhered to the front cloud using Mini Glue Dots. Friend was stamped in full strength Crushed Curry Classic Ink and adhered to the bottom of the O using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The card was finished off using my favorite new embellishment- the Loose Silver Sequins.

Creation Station: Beach Life

Hello there!  Today I'm playing along with the Creation Station Design Team.  Our theme this month is Beach Life.  I chose to create a Father's Day card using the Beauty Of The Deep Bundle.

I originally purchased this set because I LOVED the anchor.  Then I began playing around with it and I couldn't put it down! There are so may fantastic elements in this set and it really does make some gorgeous cards!

Let's talk about the anchor again....just for a minute!   I love how the it looks with the bright sun reflecting off of it!  This fun little element was created using the Holographic Trio 12" x 12" Specialty Paper.  This specialty paper has 6 sheets- (2 each of 3 holographic patterns).  I used the silver holographic sheet.  There is also Berry Burst and Starry Sky colored holographic papers.

The above picture shows the Loose Silver Sequins that I used for embellishments.  Yes,  I know they look clear and that's because I adhered them silver side down.  I definitely wouldn't have thought that they would look clear but they do!  They look like little bubbles!

Thanks for stopping by today- up next on our hop is Sara Nell Langland.

TGIF Challenges: Color Challenge

Good morning!  Long time no stamp!  I'm back today to play along with the TGIF Challenges Color Challenge.  Please join us as we create using Calypso Coral, Lemon Lime and Smoky Slate (neutral colors are also allowed).

My card features my favorite stamp set in the Stampin' UP! Annual Catalog.  It's called Just My Type and it's pretty amazing.  There's just something magical about vintage typewriters.  They make my heart smile!

This is a very basic card- nothing too fancy.  I used the dotted embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders to create a textured layer.  The Basic White top layer has distressed edges and a curled corner for interest.  Three Loose Silver Sequins were added to embellish but they are difficult to see in the picture.

Thanks for stopping by!

OSAT: Weather or Not

Welcome to another fabulous OSAT Blog Hop!  Join us today as we share projects that reflect the weather in our area.  It's spring weather here in Ohio so we are seeing lots of "early" spring flowers- tulips, daisies, pansy's, etc...

My projects today were created using the Cheerful Daisies Bundle from the upcoming 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.  I also chose to create using only 2 colors- Wild Wheat and Pebbled Path.  The top layer of the card is DSP (Fresh As A Daisy DSP).  The striped layer was created by watercoloring stripes onto a piece of Basic White Card Stock.

For the Envelope Treat Box- I created a belly band made from the Wild Wheat sheet DSP (Fresh As A Daisy DSP).  I then attached a small scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours Dies   The rectangle was then embellished with a few varieties of daisies which were stamped in Wild Wheat and Pebbled Path inks.  I created a Wild Wheat DSP flower to add interest behind the upper right corner of the larger daisy.

Monday Montage #234: Happy Birthday

Hello stampin' friends! I'm so excited- over the weekend I found my Artistically Inked Stamp Set that I ordered a loooong time ago and somehow managed to lose when we moved almost 2 yrs ago.  I'm also very happy that it will also be in the new upcoming Annual Catalog!

I chose to create using a bright color palette: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green and just a smidge of Pool Party.  This birthday card is sure to brighten the recipient's day!
