#tgifc219 Color Challenge

Good morning friends!  Welcome back for another #TGIF  Challenge!  This week we are creating using Purple Posey, Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray.

The card base is Purple Posey Card Stock, Purple Posey Gingham (from the 2019-2021 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper) and a piece of Vellum Card Stock.  The top layer was embossed using the Lace 3D folder.

Next I cut a label from Whisper White Card Stock and the Stitched Labels Dies.  Using the Be Mine Dies- I cut 2 hearts from a piece of Seaside Spray Card Stock and layered them on top of the label.  The Sprig Punch was used to punch 2 Vellum sprigs for behind the label.

The small striped heart was first stamped in Rococo Rose onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and cut out using the Be Mine Dies.  A rose image (also from the Be Mine dies) was layered just behind the striped heart.  The Woven Threads Sequin Assortment lends the perfect finishing touch!

Please join our challenge this week!  The deadline for entries is 10am PST on Thursday 7/11 and I would LOVE to see what you create using Purple Posey, Seaside Spray and Rococo Rose as color inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stampin'!

Dream Big

Good evening!  Tonight I have a card to share that features a new (to me) technique.  Faux grass- created using the grass stamp from the Over the  Moon Stamp Set and 3 Stampin' Blends (Light/Dark Granny Apple Green, Dark Shaded Spruce).

Isn't it just the most adorable little scene?  I was browsing Facebook when I came across a FB live video being held by my friend Paula Dobson.  Since I've had a little extra time lately due to a total knee replacement surgery 2 weeks ago- I figured I'd watch.  I'm so glad I did because Paula taught her technique on how to create the adorable little pasture of grass!

I gotta say- it came out adorable!  To finish creating the scene- I used the cloud image from the This Little Piggy Stamp Set and stamped it several times across the top.  I then used the Light Balmy Blue Stampin' Blend to color in the sky.  I fussy cut the little heart cloud and popped it up with a Stampin' Dimensional to add more depth.

So cute!  Thanks for stopping by!

Monday Montage #142 Thanks!

Well hello there!  I'm so happy you've arrived!  It's time for a Monday Montage Blog Hop and I have a beautiful card to share!

One of my favorite things from the new Annual Catalog is the Magnolia Lane Product Suite.  This gorgeous suite features so many great products!  Memories & More Cards, DSP, Ribbons, a gorgeous stamp set and much more!

My card tonight is simple yet elegant!

I have always loved using black and white for projects.  Simple yet pretty!

To create this card- I first stamped the large Magnolia from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 3 times.  I then die cut the first using the Magnolia Memories Dies.  For the second and third- I fussy cut them out so that I could layer them to give more dimension.

Using the Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend- I added some subtle shadows on both the magnolia and the leaves.  The Thanks sentiment was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed on a piece of Basic Black Card Stock.  Black spatter was added using a dry Aqua Painter and the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Refill.  Pearl Basic Jewels and a White bow finish the card.

Fancy Friday Favorites!

Welcome, welcome welcome!  I'm so happy you've joined us for our Fancy Friday Blog Hop.  All participating in the hop are either current or former members of the Stampin' UP! Artisan Design Team....such an amazingly talented bunch!

This month we are sharing our favorite new products from the Annual Catalog.  This was a tough call for me as there are SO many amazing new products.  It's hard to just pick a few!
I chose the Bird Ballad Product Suite.  This suite is so beautiful ♥

The card base is from the Bird Ballad Laser -Cut Cards & Tin.  These card bases can be used as is (as I have done) or they can be cut apart to feature different parts of the laser image.

The bird was fussy cut from a sheet of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.  This gorgeous paper features 12 sheets of patterned paper (2 sheets of 6 double sided designs).  The stamped images are from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set.  All images (except the bird) were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Black Ink and colored using both Light and Dark Petal Pink and Pool Party Stampin' Blends.

To finish off the design- a thread from a piece of  Whisper White 5/8" Flax Ribbon was rolled up and placed behind the bird.  Pearl Basic Jewels adorn the center of each flower.

Thanks for stopping by!  Up next on our hop is the amazing Teneale Williams.  Please click the next button to see what she has created for you today!

#tgifc 215: Color Challenge!

Good morning friends!  Welcome back for another #TGIF  Challenge!  This week we are working with a color challenge that is WAY out of my comfort zone!  Part of what makes a challenge fun is the fact that it's actually a challenge.

The color combo listed above (Pool Party, Granny Apple Green, Night of Navy) is perfect for a boy theme card (like dinosaur's or sports) but it is also a fantastic combination to create a feminine card as well.

The new Butterfly Wishes Stamp Set was used to create the wreath.  The pretty flower and small butterfly make  a unique yet simple wreath.  A large Pearl Basic Jewel was added to the center of each flower to add dimension.

The Granny Apple Green 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon was used to create both the ribbon loop as well as the thread bow.  To create the bow- simply cut one edge off of the ribbon, pull out several threads and tie into a bow.

Please join our challenge this week!  The deadline for entries is 10am PST on Thursday 6/13 and I would LOVE to see what you create using Granny Apple Green, Pool Party and Night of Navy as an inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stampin'!

Monday Montage #140: Above the Clouds

Well hello there!  I'm so happy you've arrived!  It's time for a Monday Montage Blog Hop and I have a fun card to share!

I've always loved things that were interactive.  Wether it be books, games or art- its no surprise that some of my favorite cards to create are shaker cards.

Shaker cards are fun because the contents move.  Well- ok so not all of the contents but the sequins do!  Speaking of sequins- those beauties are from the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment.  I LOVE the colors!  They all coordinate with the brand new 2019-2020 In Color Collection.

The hot air balloon was created using the Above The Clouds Stamp Set and the 2019-2020 In Color DSP Stack.  The color itself is Purple Posey and it is so pretty!  I've never really been a fan of the color purple but this one has stolen my heart!  I just love it!

Creation Station Blog Hop: Unique Folds

Good morning!  It's time for another Creation Station hop!  For our theme this month- we are featuring unique folds.
My card was created using the Z-fold technique.  I like this fold because it's quick and easy!  Simply cut your card stock to 4-1/4" x 11".   Score at 5-1/2".  Then score one of the 5-1/2" panels at 2-3/4" and fold into a Z.  It's that easy!

The new Bird Ballad Product Suite is perfect for this style card.  The DSP is gorgeous and the stamped images can be customized to fit any color combination.

To create the sentiment element I simply used the Stitched Nested Labels Dies- I cut out one from Petal Pink Card Stock and one from Whisper White Card Stock.  Next I cut the Petal Pink shape in half and adhered it to the Whisper White shape so the sentiment panel appears layered.

Thanks for stopping by!
Why not continue on our hop!  There are lots of amazing projects to be seen today!  Next up is the fabulous Dena Rekow!
