TGIF Challenges: Color Challenge

Good morning!  Long time no stamp!  I'm back today to play along with the TGIF Challenges Color Challenge.  Please join us as we create using Calypso Coral, Lemon Lime and Smoky Slate (neutral colors are also allowed).

My card features my favorite stamp set in the Stampin' UP! Annual Catalog.  It's called Just My Type and it's pretty amazing.  There's just something magical about vintage typewriters.  They make my heart smile!

This is a very basic card- nothing too fancy.  I used the dotted embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders to create a textured layer.  The Basic White top layer has distressed edges and a curled corner for interest.  Three Loose Silver Sequins were added to embellish but they are difficult to see in the picture.

Thanks for stopping by!

OSAT: Weather or Not

Welcome to another fabulous OSAT Blog Hop!  Join us today as we share projects that reflect the weather in our area.  It's spring weather here in Ohio so we are seeing lots of "early" spring flowers- tulips, daisies, pansy's, etc...

My projects today were created using the Cheerful Daisies Bundle from the upcoming 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.  I also chose to create using only 2 colors- Wild Wheat and Pebbled Path.  The top layer of the card is DSP (Fresh As A Daisy DSP).  The striped layer was created by watercoloring stripes onto a piece of Basic White Card Stock.

For the Envelope Treat Box- I created a belly band made from the Wild Wheat sheet DSP (Fresh As A Daisy DSP).  I then attached a small scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours Dies   The rectangle was then embellished with a few varieties of daisies which were stamped in Wild Wheat and Pebbled Path inks.  I created a Wild Wheat DSP flower to add interest behind the upper right corner of the larger daisy.

Monday Montage #234: Happy Birthday

Hello stampin' friends! I'm so excited- over the weekend I found my Artistically Inked Stamp Set that I ordered a loooong time ago and somehow managed to lose when we moved almost 2 yrs ago.  I'm also very happy that it will also be in the new upcoming Annual Catalog!

I chose to create using a bright color palette: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green and just a smidge of Pool Party.  This birthday card is sure to brighten the recipient's day!

Monday Montage #231: Thanks a Bunch

Hello stampin' friends! The Sweet Citrus Stamp Set and coordinating Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder are  two of my favorite products!  They. Are. Fabulous!

To create the Basic White top layer of this card- I inked the inside back of the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder with Daffodil Delight Classic Ink and then used a Small Blending Brush to add Polished Pink Classic Ink to the citrus images.  I then ran it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to emboss the Basic White layer.

The close up above shows the embossed images in the Basic White top layer.  This is an easy way to add a little more texture and dimension to the card.

The multicolored citrus images in the picture above were created the same way the Basic White top layer was created only this time I fussy cut the images out.

Monday Montage #230

Hello stampin' friends! Today I have a sweet Valentine to share!  It was created using the Conversation Bubbles Dies and the Love For You Dies.  That's right- a card with no stamping!

Isn't it cute?  I don't often make cards that don't involve stamping but I had this idea in my head and couldn't resist putting it on paper. To create this look- I first cut a bunch of conversation bubbles using the Conversation Bubbles Dies.  Then I carefully arranged them onto a Basic White top layer and adhered them using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I used a stapler to attach the tiny ribbon to the card layer.  Three tiny Sweet Sorbet  hearts (from the Conversation Bubbles Dies) were added around the Love You sentiment to add interest.
The card was finished off by adding Heart Pearls.

OSAT: Fresh Finds

Welcome to the first OSAT Blog Hop of the year!  Join us as we share out creations made with items from the brand new January-April Mini Catalog.  My card features the Country Bouquet Stamp Set as well as the Country Floral Lane DSP.  In addition- I have also used the Dandy Designs DSP (Sale-A-Bration Catalog) and the Alphabet A La Mode Dies.

Making Valentines has been a tradition of mine forever!  It's fun to create heartfelt messages for those we love.  This card features a playful color palette that's perfect for anyone!  Sweet Sorbet, Kraft, and Coastal Cabana.   Each heart was constructed using the Heart Punch Pack and the centers were popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Each letter was cut using the Alphabet A La Mode Dies, Basic White Card Stock and Foam Adhesive Sheets.   The card was embellished with a Coastal Cabana Baker's Twine Bow.  This twine can be found in the Three Twine Combo Pack.

Creation Station

Welcome to the first Creation Station Hop of the new year!  We are focusing on Sale-A-Bration products this month as in just a very few short days- the Stampin' UP! Sale-A-Bration event will be live!  There are so many amazing new products this time around!  I chose the Thanks A Bunch Photopolymer Stamp Set for my project.

Did you know that carrots come in a variety of colors?  Yep.  It's true!  In addition to orange- they can also be purple, red (though they appear more pinkish), white and yellow.  How FUN!

For this card- I have created several "varieties" of carrots using the following colors:  Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzelberry, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight and So Saffron.  Each carrot was stamped once with full strength ink, then again after it was stamped off.  The leafy tops of the carrots were stamped in Granny Apple Green- some at full strength and some stamped off.

To add a bit more color- I flicked ink splatters using a Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Marker all over the carrot layer.  The THANKS sentiment was stamped onto a small Coastal Cabana Card Stock
scrap and adhered atop a Parakeet Party Baker's Twine Bow.

Thanks for stopping by today- up next on our hop is Sara Nell Langland.  Happy New Year!!!
