Monday Montage #146

Welcome back! It's time for a Monday Montage Blog Hop.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Ok...I may be borderline obsessed with Pigment Sprinkles.  I think I need them in every Stampin' UP! color.  Oh my!  Wouldn't that be fabulous?

I mean- just look at how vibrant they are?  Today's card features the Gorgeous Grape variety and they surely do not disappoint!

Just how awesome is the new Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set?  The images and sentiments are gorgeous!  I'm loving the font mixed fonts.  So fun!

Isn't the coffin a fun touch?  It was created by tracing a Coffin Treat Box onto a piece of Basic Black Card Stock.  After the coffin was cut out- I embossed it using the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder.  Since I used black for the coffin- I used the Delicate Silvery Shimmer Pigment Ink to highlight the scrolls.
The sentiment and vampire were both cut out using the Ornate Frames Dies.  LOVE!

Wicked

Hello there!  Today I was inspired to create using Mango Melody and Basic Black.  They are fabulous Halloween colors and you know me when it comes to Halloween!

Once again the Pigment Sprinkles steal the show!  I just can't get enough of the gorgeous vibrant colors!  Especially when it comes to using the Mango Melody for a Halloween watercolor wash!

The layers are Vellum, Mango Melody and Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  They measure 4-1/2" x 3-1/4".  A tiny nest of Silver Metallic Thread was adhered just below the Vellum layer for some added interest.

As you can see from the picture above- there is a spider border that goes along all four edges of the main card.  This adds a little bit of texture for added interest.  The Monster Bash Enamel Shapes highlight the Wicked sentiment.  Wicked itself was cut out 5 times and then glued together to make a thick die cut.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Decor

Hey there stampers!  Did you know that Stampin' UP! products make the best home decor items?  As I was going through some of my crafting supplies- I came across a bag of acorn caps and some felted balls.  I thought "what on earth could I possibly create with these?"  Then it hit me!  Acorns!  But there was an issue- all my felted balls were natural white and not colorful and fun.

That's where Stampin' UP! comes in.  Using some rubbing alcohol, a Stampin' Spritzer and several different colors of re-inker we have a bunch of fall colored acorns!

The picture above shows what supplies I used to create these adorable little acorns.

It took me a little while but I was able to create acorns in Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Pear Pizzazz and Pretty Peacock.

After the felted balls were dyed and dried I adhered them to the acorn caps using hot glue.

The little acorns are the most adorable little things ever!  They are smaller than a quarter in size and when I get more of them created- they will decorate my tiered tray that I change out for every holiday.

These larger acorns are approximately 1-1/2" from top to bottom.  Just like in nature- sizes and shapes vary which is part of what makes them so stinkin' cute!

These seriously are the most effortless fall decor items!  They require very little work and come out oh so cute!

Spooktacular Bash...Sneak Peek!

Ah....Halloween.  I love it.  Yes- I should be sharing cards for a different occasion but I just cannot resist the amazing new Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set that will be in the upcoming Holiday Catalog.  I put it away last night but it's calling my name again tonight!

Cute, right?  SO fun!  Aren't those little frames just the cutest?  They were created using the brand new Ornate Frames Dies!  See that gorgeous new DSP?  The pattern I used tonight reminds me of the Haunted Mansion at Disney.  Why?  Because of the spooky wallpaper of course!  This paper isn't exactly spooky but it is pretty fabulous!  It's from the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper and it has my name written all over it!  You know- because of my love for all things black/white.  This paper is more of a dark gray color but it's still pretty amazing ❤

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you've enjoyed my Halloween card!  Trust me- there's plenty more to come!

Sneaky Peeky- Something Creepy...

Good evening stampers!  I have just returned from a lengthy visit to the great state of Florida where I got to play at Disney World, head down to the Keys and visit with friends!  I couldn't have asked for a better vacation!  But now it's time to get back to creating!  Tonight I have made my very first Halloween card of the season!

That's right!  I said Halloween!  It's always been my favorite holiday and even though I'm not quite ready to give up my summer weather- I'm totally in the mood to decorate and create lots of spooky fun projects to share.

I love how fun this card turned out!  First I used Pigment Sprinkles to create the background.  Then I added some black flecks using the Dark Black Stampin' Blend.  Using the Ornate Frames Dies I created the perfect little backdrop for the apothecary jars.

See the Vellum layer?  It was embossed using the new Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder.  Isn't it gorgeous?  It really compliments this creepy card!  Speaking of Creepy- the sentiment was stamped in VersaMark onto a piece of Vellum scrap.  It was then heat embossed using the Heat Tool and Black Stampin' Emboss Powder.  I added a few Monster Bash Enamel Shapes for some bling and it was good to go!

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't have your copy of the new Holiday Catalog?  Send me an email and I'll drop one in the mail for you!

Creation Station: Gone Wild!

Good morning stampin' friends!  It's time for another Creation Station blog hop!  Today were Stampers Gone Wild!  We are featuring any animal or wildlife stamp set.

This month's theme was a bit of a challenge for me.  I totally thought I had purchased a specific stamp set that I wanted to use for this hop however I couldn't find it.  As it turns out- it was still in a pending order!  Ugh!  So on to plan b.....

I can't say that I'm totally disappointed that I didn't have the set I intended to use.  Actually- I'm quite pleased with how this adorable card turned out!  Animal Outing is just so stinkin' cute and these two rhino's are no exception!

Yes- I'm aware the rhino's are different.  I wanted them that way!  No two animals are alike in the wild and they aren't on my card either!

My card measures 3-1/2" x 7".  I have used my favorite color combination (at the moment, LOL)- Gray Granite/Petal Pink/Pool Party.  To create the rhino facing the opposite direction- I began by inking the rhino image in Tuxedo Black Ink and stamped it onto a Silicone Craft Mat.  Next- I turned the Silicone Craft Mat over onto my card stock and viola!  SO CUTE!!!!  Both rhino's were colored using the Smoky Slate Stampin Blends (both light and dark), Petal Pink Stampin' Blends (both light and dark) and Pool Party Stampin' Blends (both light and dark).

For the sentiment- I stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock.  I then punched it out using the 1-1/4" Circle Punch.  Next- I layered it onto a scalloped circle which was cut from a piece of Petal Pink Card Stock.  (Scalloped circle was cut using the die cutting machine and Layering Circles Collection Dies.  A small next of Silver Metallic Thread lies behind the sentiment for added interest.

The little hearts were cut from the Be Mine Dies.  A Linen Thread bow begins in the bottom right corner and wraps around to the top left corner.

Thanks for stopping by!
Why not continue on our hop!  There are lots of amazing projects to be seen today!  Next up is the fabulous Kerstin Kreuzer!

#tgifc223 Color Challenge

Hi friends!  Today at #TGIF Challenges we are having a super fun Color Challenge!  We are creating using Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape.  So bright and oh so fun!

A fun color challenge calls for a fun card!  I began creating the card by making a watercolor wash from the Coastal Cabana Reinker and an Aqua Painter on the new Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.

Next it was time to create all of the fun elements!  The Under The Sea Dies are some of my all time favorites.  They make the best seascapes!  All elements were created using Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.

To create the octopus- I used an Aqua Painter and the Gorgeous Grape/Coastal Cabana Reinkers to paint the stamp.  I then stamped onto a piece of Fluid 100 scrap.  Using the Aqua Painter- I then carefully watercolored over the stamped image to blend the colors.

Next I added flecks of ink from the Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blend.  LOVE!

Please join our challenge this week!  The deadline for entries is 10am PST on Thursday 8/8 and I would LOVE to see what you create for our fabulous Color Challenge!
