Prized Peony

Hey stampers!  Today I'm back with a card that I created using the Peony Garden Product Suite.  This product suite is so beautiful!  Especially the DSP- there are so many gorgeous patterns that it was tough to choose just one.  So instead- I chose to create a card that would feature several of the patterns!

Once I chose my patterns- I cut them into 3/4" strips.  Next came the fun part!  Using a pair of Paper Snips I carefully cut half way up the 3/4" strip to create fringe.  After each pattern was fringed I then adhered them to a piece of Whisper White Card Stock.

Tip:  When adhering the fringe strips to the Whisper White layer- be sure to start at the bottom and work your way up making sure that each pattern is layered so that it partially covers the one below it.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Card Ingredients:

Triangles!

Hello there stampers!  Today I have a card to share that was created with lots of triangles!  There's a new set of dies in the Annual Catalog called Stitched Triangle Dies.  These dies are fabulous!  There are many triangle shapes and sizes!  There's even a cute banner!

This card took me a bit longer to create than I would have liked but I simply just couldn't stop! I had to finish the idea I had seen in my mind. I began by sponging the following ink colors onto a piece of Shimmery White Card Stock: Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo.

I then cut that layer into 1/2" strips.  Next I adhered the strips down onto a Whisper White scrap.  Using the Triangle Dies I cut several triangular shapes out from the colored layer and adhered them to yet another Whisper White layer.  Some of the triangles were hanging over the edge of the Whisper White layer so I simply adhered them down and trimmed along the sides.

The Playful Alphabet Dies made it a cinch to spell out Happy.  I love that there are also Foam Adhesive Sheets that make the letters pop off the page!  The birthday sentiment is from the Well Said Stamp Set.

Stampin' Fancy Friday: CASE a Fancy Friend

Hey there stampers!  Today I have a special card to share!  We are CASING a Fancy Friend for Stampin' Fancy Friday this month and I chose to CASE my amazing friend Jeanna Bohanan.

Here is her beautiful card!  I love the clean and simple design of this card.  She colored the floral image in beautifully!

For my card- I used the flower image from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set.  I've always loved yellow flowers as they are bright and cheery!  These flowers were colored in using the Daffodil Delight/Mango Melody Stampin' Blends in both the light/dark variety.  The leaves were colored in using the Old Olive Stampin' Blends (both light and dark).

The Get Well Soon sentiment is from the Blossoms In Bloom Stamp Set I embellished the card with some Rhinestone Basic Jewels and a piece of Linen Thread.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have enjoyed my project!

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Whisper White
Stamps:  Tasteful Touches, Blossoms In Bloom
Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends, Mango Melody Stampin' Blends, Old Olive Stampin' Blends

Monday Montage #167 Birds & Branches

Hello and welcome back for another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Are you ready to see all our fabulous projects this week?

Tonight I've decided to pull out a new stamp set that's been sitting on my shelf since the demonstrator preorder.  Shocking, I know!  Usually when I preorder I spend hours playing with my new goodies but I was limited on time this time around.

The Birds & Branches Stamp Set and coordinating Birds & More Dies are really cute.  When I pulled the stamps off my shelf I knew exactly what I wanted to create.  A birdhouse and a cute card!!

I think I did pretty good!  The birdhouse itself is created from a sheet of Peony Garden DSP.  The roof of the birdhouse was created using a piece of Gray Granite Card Stock that had been embossed using the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder.  The roof actually opens so it can hold treats or another small gift.

For the card- I used Gray Granite Card Stock and a piece of Peony Garden DSP.  I love the gorgeous Gray Granite patterns!
The birds were stamped in Petal Pink Ink onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and then cut out with the coordinating Birds & More Dies.  The little eggs were stamped in Pool Party Ink.  Two branches were cut- one is adhered behind the scalloped rectangle (Stitched So Sweetly Dies) and the other is adhered to the front of the birds nest.

Here's a closeup of the card.

The little birdhouse is my favorite.  It is absolutely adorable!  The base of it is right around 2-3/4" square- so it's not very big at all.

I didn't embellish the front of it as much as I would have liked to.  I wanted to let the actual birdhouse be the star instead of the embellishments.  I'm thrilled that the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon carried over into this years Annual Catalog.  It's gorgeous and I can't wait to create more projects with it!
I hope you have enjoyed my projects!

Zany Zebras

Hello there stampers!  Zany Zebras is such a cute stamp set!  It has 3 spunky zebra images and handful of fun sentiments to match.

Tonight I have created a card using the Zany Zebras Stamp Set and it's pretty cute!  I began by using the wide brush from the new Water Painters to create a Smoky Slate striped background.  I LOVE the new Water Painters!  Especially the wide brush tip as it's perfect for stripes.

Then I cut and layered a few die cut images from the Hippo & Friends Dies.  Since the sentiment I chose says "Wild About You!" I wanted to add some form of hearts.  I chose the multiple hearts  image is from the Stitched Be Mine Dies.

Black ink specks were added using the Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker.  Isn't this card just the cutest?

Card Ingredients:
Card Stock:  Whisper White Thick, Basic Black, Whisper White, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
Stamps:  Zany Zebras
Inks:  Magenta Madness, Smoky Slate, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker
Tools/other supplies:  Hippo & Friends Dies, Subtle Embossing Folder, Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder, Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack, Metallic Pearls, 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots

#tgifc269

Hey there stampers!  Today I'm playing along with the TGIF Challenges.  We are stamping our own patterned paper.  For my card- I chose to use a background stamp instead of stamping multiple images to create the background.  I wanted to do this because sometimes DSP is simply a pattern with foil.  It's a little tough to see in the pictures- but I did in fact heat emboss my pattern paper with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder.

The stamps I used on this card are Dry Brush, Prized Peony and Good Morning Magnolia.  The peony was stamped in Sahara Sand onto a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor paper and colored in using Melon Mambo/Old Olive Inks and a Water Painter.  I then cut it out using the Peony Dies.

Whale Of A Time

Hey there stampers!  I'm back tonight with another fabulous card created from the Whale Of A Time Product Suite.  I totally adore this suite!  It's beyond cute and oh so fun!  The card I'm sharing tonight is a birthday card created for a friend.  I've always believed that everyone should receive a special card on their birthday.

This one is special for sure!  To create this card- I began by embossing a 4" x 5-1/4" layer of Pacific Point Card Stock using the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder.  If you don't have this folder- trust me.  You NEED it.  It's simply amazing!  Using Calypso Coral Ink- I then stamped the fish image 3 times. Two in the same direction and then one in the opposite direction (hidden in the bottom of the seaweed).

Next- I chose my DSP pattern from the Whale of a Time DSP stack.  As you can see- I chose the seafloor print.  I fussy cut a few sea turtles from the remaining portion of the seafloor print and adhered them using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  Embellished the seafloor with a few of the Whale of a Time Sequins to finish it off.  The Hoping All Your Birthday Fishes Come True sentiment was stamped in Pacific Point onto a Whisper White Card Stock scrap and adhered to a piece of DSP that looks like the sea.

Forever Greenery

Hello stampin' friends!  Now that the new Annual Catalog has been out for a few weeks- have you picked any favorites?  The Forever Greenery Suite is one of mine.  I love all the gorgeous foliage images.  They are perfect for simple stamping.

One of my favorite items from this product suite is the Forever Gold Laser-cut Specialty Paper.  The images are amazing.  On the card above- I used the rectangle image with foliage.  I then created a small stamped panel using the Forever Fern Stamp Set and the following ink colors:  Garden Green, Shaded Spruce, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sea Foam.  Hello was stamped in VersaMark ink onto a piece of Pretty Peacock Card Stock and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool.

To embellish the card- I added a few Gold Metallic Pearls and a bow created from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.

OSAT: Hippo Happiness

Hey there!  Today I'm hopping along with the OSAT Blog Hop Team and we have some pretty awesome projects to share with you!  We are showcasing products from the new Stampin' UP! Annual Catalog.
I chose to create with the Hippo Happiness Stamp Set and coordinating Hippo & Friends Dies.
This set is so fun!  It pairs perfectly with bright colors and is fun for all ages.  My card is a birthday card created for one of my favorite little people.

The striped background was created from a Window Sheet and the long stitched rectangle shape from the All Dressed Up Dies.  Then I turned the stencil sideways and made diagonal stripes using a Sponge Dauber and some Daffodil Delight Ink.

Check out the Rainbow Glimmer Paper.  It's SO amazing!  The glitter does not shed off the paper and the coloring is gorgeous!

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Blossoms In Bloom Stamp Set and the other stamped images are all from the Hippo Happiness Stamp Set.

For my 3D project- I created a box in a box.  I used some of the new 2020-2022 In Color DSP Stack to create the inner Magenta Madness box.  Then I inserted the DSP cube into the Clear Tiny Treat Box.  The sentiment on the front of the box is from the Well Written Stamp Set.

Monday Montage #166: Hippo Happiness

Hello and welcome back for another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Are you ready to see all our fabulous projects this week?

My card today was created using the Hippo Happiness Stamp Set.  This stamp set is absolutely adorable!  I love the fun images and silly sentiments!

To create this card- I began by cutting a 4" x 5-1/4" layer from the Playing With Patterns DSP.  Then I chose coordinating inks and stamped the sentiments in a repeating order.  I used Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Night of Navy, and Coastal Cabana.  As there is no ink (other than Blends) for Purple Posy- I used Highland Heather and simply stamped the image off one time.  Looks pretty good to me!

The little hippo is a 2 stamp process but the actual stamp set is photopolymer so it's simple to line up. I needed balloon strings longer than the stamp that's part of this set- so I cut apart some Black and White Baker's Twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo to create some strings.

I hope you have enjoyed my project!

Creation Station: "A Man After My Own Heart"

Good morning stampin' friends!  It's time for another fabulous Creation Station Blog Hop!  Today we are featuring cards that are masculine.  We could create pretty much any type of card as long as it was a masculine theme.

My card is an anniversary card and it's super cute!  It features the Whale Of A Time Product Suite.  Shown in the picture here is the Whale Of A Time DSP, the Whale Builder Punch, the Whale Done Stamp Set and the Whale Of A Time Sequins.  I just love this suite!

To create this card-I cut a piece of Whale Of A Time DSP.  I then cut a second piece of the same DSP only this time- I cut the waves out.  As you can see I have adhered a whale behind a wave and one partially behind the wave.

If this weren't a masculine card- I'd have used several of the gorgeous seashell sequins!  Guess I'll save those for the next card!

Thanks for stopping by!

The embossed layer of this card was created using the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder.  This is definitely a must have for anyone that loves to create sea life cards.  It's amazing!  The other images on the card were created by stamping the images in either Bumblebee Ink or Night of Navy Ink and stamping them onto Whisper White scraps and fussy cut.  The Crumb Cake images were stamped in Crumb Cake Ink onto a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock before they were fussy cut.  The yellow fishy layer is a piece of DSP from the Whale of a Time DSP.  My favorite image of all- is the whale.  He was punched out using the Whale Builder Punch.

Prized Peony

Hello stampers!  My goodies from the new Annual Catalog have arrived!  Can I just say that this catalog is amazing!  I love so many things about it!  There are so many fabulous new products and it's hard to pick a favorite.
To create my card tonight- I closed my eyes and reached into the box.  Whatever stamp set I picked up is what I used.  Much to my surprise it was the gorgeous Prized Peony Stamp Set.  I love this set for so many reasons- but come on- who doesn't love peonies?

I also love cards that are very clean and simple.  The black and white color scheme is always so elegant looking and I just couldn't resist.

The gems are the Elegant Faceted Gems from the Peony Garden Suite.
There's not much to creating this card- other than stamping the peony and the sentiment.  I added a few splashes of Basic Black ink using the Stampin' Write Marker.

Thanks for stopping by!

Under My Umbrella

Hey stampers!  Are you as excited about tomorrow as I am?  It's new catalog day and I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of ordering time.  I can't wait to place my order!  I truly feel like a child on Christmas morning.
I wanted to give one last sneak peek into what's coming.  The card I'm sharing tonight features one of the gorgeous new In-Color's.  It's called Magenta Madness and it is electric!  The color is so vibrant and fun! Here I've paired it up with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green.

I've used my trusty ole polka dot stencil created from a Window Sheet and the circle die from the Truck Dies.  My polka dot layer is a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  I could have used regular Whisper White but I when I started creating- I wasn't sure if I would watercolor or not.

The Under My Umbrella Stamp Set and coordinating Umbrella Builder Punch are THE cutest.  The boots and floral images were stamped in Black Staz-On Ink onto a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  The images were all colored in using an Aqua Painter and the following colors:  Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie.

Just a heads up- TODAY is THE last day to order from  2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  If there are items you are wanting- don't miss out! Tomorrow will be too late!
