Monday Montage 22

Hello there and welcome back for the bi-weekly Monday Montage blog hop.  You should have arrived here from the wonderful Cathy Casey's blog.  If not and I'm your first stop- no worries! Simply use the back/next buttons at the bottom of this post to navigate your way around the hop.

Tonight's card is a nautical themed card.  I've always loved nautical themed things but have never really done much with them.  The more I play around with the Maritime DSP- I'm convinced that I need to decorate a room in my house with it!  I'm thinking I could create some fabulous home decor items using it!

This card is really very simple.  I loved this particular pattern for the DSP and wanted to use it as the main image for the background.  For the little flags at the bottom of the anchor banner- they are also from the Maritime DSP.  I just cut them out and tucked them in behind.

I may have spent my entire weekend working for my everyday job- but I did find time to go get one of the cutest cars ever!  Welcome to my newest family member:

I absolutely LOVE my new car!  It's Cosmic Blue and has a white top with white bonnet stripes.  It was partly the inspiration for my color combination tonight.  LOVE the blue!  When the sun shines on it- it's super sparkly!

Thank You

Good morning!
Can you believe that it's already just a little over 6 months until Christmas?  Where does the time go?  It seems just like a few days ago we were waiting for the snow to melt and now we're half way there again. It's almost depressing!  Thankfully we still have a little time in between!

What have you been working on?  I've been busy creating a variety of Thank You cards.  The one I have to share with you today was created with the new sentiment set called Something to Say.  I love the color combination- Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla and Gold. It may very well be a new favorite!

Please let me know if you have not yet received your new 2014-2015 Annual Catalog from me yet.  I used a different method to mail my catalogs and I've had several people tell me that theirs have not arrived yet.
Enjoy your week!  Thanks for stopping by!

Monday Montage 21

Hello there and welcome back for the bi-weekly Monday Montage blog hop.  You should have arrived here from the wonderful Cathy Casey's blog.  If not and I'm your first stop- no worries! Simply use the back/next buttons at the bottom of this post to navigate your way around the hop.

Are you loving the new 2014-2015 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog as much as I am?  My first order hasn't arrived yet so I'm still playing around with my preorder items.  The project I created for tonight is a Father's Day card and it uses the brand new Baby's First Framelits set.  I know you're probably thinking why would she use baby framelits on a Father's Day card.  Well that's a simple question to answer!  One of the framelits in this particular set is the most adorable little tie. It's perfect for Father's Day!

This card is very basic.  I wanted to add more to it but was afraid it would no longer resemble a masculine card so I figured it was best to quit when I did!
