Stampin' Fancy Friday

Welcome, welcome welcome!  I'm so happy you've joined us for our Fancy Friday Blog Hop.  All participating in the hop are either current or former members of the Stampin' UP! Artisan Design Team....such an amazingly talented bunch!  I can't wait for you to see what we have created for you this month.

This month we are hosting a Shake It Challenge!  I'm not sure about you- but I love shaker cards!  They are so fun- not only to make but to receive as well!

I made my card using the Be Mine Stitched Dies.  I love this set because it's filled with lots of gorgeous hearts!

The black and white stripped DSP is from the Golden Honey Specialty DSP but it's perfect for my heart!  I absolutely adore black and white DSP.  It's probably my favorite kind ever!  It's just so versatile!

My stamped images were created using the striped heart image found in the Meant To Be Stamp Set.  The tiny little white hearts are also from the Meant To Be Stamp Set.    Those gorgeous sequins are from Peaceful Poppies Sequins and OMG! they are super cute!  There are all different shapes and sizes.

Here's a closeup of the card front.  You can kinda see the different shapes in the sequins.  On a few of the little striped hearts-I have die cut some smaller hearts from the Be Mine Dies.  A tiny gem from the From My Heart Faceted Gems adorns a few of the striped heart images.

Thanks for stopping by!  Up next is the amazing Sue Plote!  I can't wait for you to see what she has created to share with you today!

Monday Montage #156

Hello and welcome back for another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Are you ready to see all our fabulous projects this week?

Once again I've chosen to work with the Honey Bee Stamp Set and Coordinating Detailed Bee Dies.  I just can't get enough of this sweet set!

To create the card- I began by making a wreath from stamped bee's and flower images.  I then used the honeycomb die to create a stencil in which I then colored in using a Sponge Dauber and Crushed Curry Ink.  Next I stamped/die cut a bunch of honey bees to add to the top of the wreath to add some dimension.  Each of the bees that are popped up have wings that have been painted using the Clear Wink of Stella.

A striped bee hive cut from the black/white striped DSP from the Golden Honey Specialty DSP.  So cute!  It will make the perfect birthday card for the doctor I work for.  She will love it!

Monday Montage #155

Hello and welcome back for another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Are you ready to see all our fabulous projects this week?
I haven't stamped in forever as I had a knee replacement at the beginning of November and had difficulty getting upstairs to my craft room.  Then in December it was time for the holidays and I was swamped!  It's so good to be back!

The NEW Stampin' UP! 2020 January-June Mini Catalog started just a few days ago and I wanted to share my favorite set with you all.  It's called Honey Bee and it is just the sweetest ❤

Since I'm allergic to bees and could never get close to a hive- this card is the next best thing!  It has a faux honey comb complete with dripping honey as well as a few bees!

To create my card- I added a watercolor wash using Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry.  The dripping effect was created by flooding the top of the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with water and then adding the color with an Aqua Painter so that it would drip down the paper.  Flecks of Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight were added using a Stampin' Write Marker.

See that gorgeous DSP? It's called Golden Honey Specialty DSP and it can be yours with a $50 purchase from my Stampin' UP! store (link to my store is on the right sidebar).
