TGIF Challenges #457

When I saw there was a LOVE themed challenge at TGIF this week I could't resist playing along!  Afterall- Valentine's are some of my favorite cards to create!

The "rose" background was created using several different colors of Stampin' Blends, 91% alcohol and Vellum Cardstock.  Both light and dark colors of Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo were used.  Each "rose" was carefully crafted using the color from the Blend and 91% alcohol.
I'm not a professional at this technique and am still learning but overall I love how it turned out!  The colors fit so well together!

I embellished the card using 2 hearts- one Petal Pink and one Flirty Flamingo and then added some vellum greenery cut from the Adoring Hearts Dies.  The sentiment is from the Adoring Hearts Stamp Set and was stamped in Melon Mambo Ink onto a piece of Basic White Cardstock.

Why not join in on the fun and create a card of your own?  Simply create a card using the above sketch and submit it on the TGIF Challenges blog using the guidelines below!

Monday Montage #253

Hey there stampin' friends!  I've been making lots and LOTS of Valentine's lately.  Hope you're not sick of seeing them yet!  Today's card was super simple to create!  I simply punched several hearts using the Bee Builder Punch using a variety cardstock and DSP ( Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink, Pool Party and the Bee Mine DSP).

I then created the hearts layout on a Basic White scalloped rectangle and adhered them using Stampin' Dimensionals.  The Love You More sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamped on the bottom right portion of the card (just below the heart focal image)
The scalloped layer was then adhered to another Basic White layer that had been embossed using the Basics 3D Embossing Folders.
To finish the card- this layer was adhered to a Basic White card base.

Monday Montage #252

Hey there stampin' friends!  Welcome back for another fabulous Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Today I'm sharing a stamp set and coordinating dies from the January-April Mini Catalog called Bright Skies.  I LOVE this bundle!  It's filled with several cloud images and lots of fun sentiments.

Best of all-  the Bright Skies Bundle coordinates with 2 items from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog- the Sunny Days DSP and the Pool Party 5/8" Crinkle Ribbon.  The Pool Party Crinkle Ribbon ties so nicely!

Creation Station: Fuzzy or Furry

Hello there!  Welcome to the first Creation Station Blog Hop of 2024!  This month we are designing using a "fuzzy or furry" theme.  For my card- I have chosen the Little Monkey Stamp Set and coordinating Little Monkey Builder Punch.

A few months ago- I was asked by a member of my downline to please occasionally share a card that is simple enough for the beginning crafter to create.  So here it is!

This card is a pretty basic card that has very few steps to create.  It involves stamping, fussy cutting, coloring and punching.  For supplies- I used Basic White Card Stock, Little Monkey Stamp Set, Little Monkey Builder Punch, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink,  Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends, Old Olive Stampin' Blends and some Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots (plus Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue).

Monday Montage #251

Hey there stampin' friends!  Welcome back for another fabulous Monday Montage Blog Hop!  I have an adorable project to share today!  I created a Note Card Holder for Valentine's Day.  It holds 6 Note Cards and 6 Envelopes.

This is the closed view.  When the ribbon is untied- it looks like this:

Each side holds 3 Note Cards and 3 Envelopes.  These are the Note Cards/Envelopes that come as a set from Stampin' UP!.

Each individual card has been created with a "love" theme.  These would be perfect to stick in the kids/significant other's lunchbox, backpack, purse, wherever!

Here is the second set of 3.

I even stamped matching envelopes!  They have a honeycomb stamped in the opposite corners and a set of hearts on the flap.

What do you think?  Cute, right?  Who wouldn't love to receive this cute gift set?  It was so quick and easy to create!  I used the entire Bee Mine Product Suite from the Upcoming Jan-April Mini Catalog.  One card has some hearts on it- for that card- I used the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder (also from the upcoming Mini Catalog).

Monday Montage #249: Soda-lightful

Hey there stampin' friends!  Welcome back for another fabulous Monday Montage Blog Hop!  Today's card features the Simply Sparkling Bundle.  This bundle is an online exclusive and it's absolutely adorable!

For this card- I chose a color palette of Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Lemon Lime Twist.  Each soda can was colored using a Blending Brush and either Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight or Lemon Lime Twist Ink.  Each soda can was also distressed using Water Painter to add splatter marks.

To create the "bubbles" background of the card- I cut 4 out the open image bubble clusters and adhered to the Basic White layer.  I then added an assortment of circles (from the die cut circle clusters) in several places for added interest.

I stamped the You're Soda-lightful sentiment and then cut it apart and adhered it just to the right of the center can.  I then added a variety of Iridescent Basic Pearls and a Lemon Lolly Baker's Twine Bow (this is an upcoming product!)

Monday Montage #248 Bee Mine

Hey there stampin' friends!  Welcome back for another fabulous Monday Montage Blog Hop!  My card today is super cute!  It features the upcoming Bee Mine Suite from the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog.  As a demonstrator attending OnStage at Home- I was able to preorder this suite.  I think the DSP may just be my most favorite ever!  It's just too cute!

This card is serves a dual purpose.  Not only is it a card, but it's also a gift card holder!  I've been creating lots and lots of gift card holders for the holidays so I figured I'd make one for Valentine's Day too.

'

The picture above shows how the inside looks.  As you can see- the middle panel is left blank so that it can be personalized for the recipient.  The bottom panel holds the gift card.  Best part of all- it fits in a Basic White Medium Envelope.
