2013 Artisan Finalist Blog Hop- Day 2

Welcome back to the 2013 Artisan Finalist Blog Hop. Today is Day 2.  For the next 9 days the Artisan Design Team Finalists will be sharing the entries that we each submitted for the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team contest.  The blog hop is filled with lots of amazing projects and inspiration so please be sure to join us every day for the next 9 days to see our amazing creations.  You won't wanna miss it!
You can navigate through the blog hop by clicking the "next" or "back" buttons at the bottom of this post.  Wanna take the whole tour?  Just click the "next" button at the bottom of this post and continue around until you get back to me.  It's as simple as that!

The second project that I want to share is one of my 3-Dimensional projects.  When I first saw the Tea for Two fabric in the Spring Mini Catalog- creating this little outfit is exactly what came to mind.  I didn't see just fabric swatches.  I saw this outfit.  I'm not sure if any of you know this but sewing is so NOT my thing.  It was very hard for me to follow even the simplest of instructions.  For the pants- I used a basic pants pattern only instead of creating pants- I chose to make ruffled capri's.  Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the top and bottom separately.  So here they are together:
The top for this outfit is a wrap around top.  There is a snap on the inside and there's 2 on the outside (they are disguised as buttons) to hold the shirt closed.  The buttons were also created with Tea For Two Designer Series Fabric so that they would coordinate with the capri's.  I added Calypso Coral Ribbon to the shirt as a coordinating trim.  Not pictured is the adorable floral headband that I made to go with the outfit.  It too was made from the Tea For Two fabric.  It was adhered to an elastic headband  I'm not sure why but I don't seem to have a picture of it.  It was truly an adorable outfit.  The only thing missing was a cute little girl to try it on an model it!

Outfit Ingredients:
Tea for Two Designer Series Fabric, Calypso Coral Ruffle Ribbon, Covered Button kit
Tools:  Sewing machine, thread, Paper Snips

Thanks for stopping by again today!  I hope you enjoyed the outfit!  Be sure to continue around the rest of the hop and see what the other finalists have to share!  There is a TON of inspiration- you won't be disappointed!
